A Letter From Home

Trigger Warning: Homophobic Slurs (Sorry but it was necessary for the storyline)

Now on with the story...

Sirius POV:

Today is the start of the second week at Hogwarts University. The first week was awesome. I had so much fun because I got to meet my professors of the Dramatic Arts, Ms. Minerva McGonagall. She is very strict, but also very kind and helpful. She is a great and teacher and this is going to be so much fun. 

Moony's week went fine as well, from what he told me. His professor for Literature (I know, BORING!) is Ms. Pomona Sprout. She is a kindly lady and knows what she is doing around here.

Prongs' professor is Gilderoy Lockhart, who, apparently, likes to talk about himself and not teach a thing. Luckily, James is a natural in Arts, so he has nothing to worry about. 

Lily's professor for Medicine is Ms. Poppy Pomfrey, who is an amazing teacher and has taught loads in one week. 

Ms. Sybill Trelawny is Wormtail's professors for Culinary Arts. Marls' professor for Fashion is Mr. Horace SLughorn, who can't control the class, according to Marlene. 

I got a letter from home today. I know this is NOT good news as right before leaving for Hogwarts, I had come out as gay to my parents. I don't know what happened at home, but I know it was torture for my little brother, Regulus. Shaking my head, I open the letter from my Mom and it reads:

Sirius Orion Black,

How DARE you come out and then leave the house!?! You are a disgrace on the Black family name. A Black cannot, CANNOT, be a Faggot! We will not be connected or house a fag as this will ruin our name and place in society. This is a collective decision of me and your father. We have decided to disown you, Sirius. You are no son of mine. These are the official Disownment Documents. You can find a place to live on your own, but I would prefer if you lived on the streets like the faggot you are. The money in your vault is yours and that is all you are getting from us. You are such a disappointment,

Walburga Black.

I dropped the letter on my lap in shock. My family... is no longer my family. Sure, I should be happy about as they were idiots and they hate me and they are homophobes but, they are my family, and I had hope that one day, they would come around. I could feel tears springing to my eyes and I did nothing to stop them.

Remus POV:

I had just finished talking to my professor about this week's homework and walking back to my room when I realized I had not seen Sirius the whole day. So I walked faster. When I opened the door of my room, I noticed Sirius sitting on his bed, hunched back with his back facing the door and his body trembling slightly due to his sobs. I immediately went and sat down next to him and ask what was wrong. He passed me a letter from his mom and continued crying. I read the letter and was infuriated at his parents. I mean, who could disown and hurt this poor cinnamon roll? 

I put my hand on his shoulder and said, "It's okay, Padfoot. They are your family. You have all the right to feel sad. But you are not a disappointment. You are the best person in the world and the best thing to ever happen to me. Don't worry, Me, James, Peter, Lily, and Marlene will always be there for you. We are your real family. It's okay, Padfoot, it is all okay..." 

He hugs me and cries on my shoulder while I rub comforting circles on his back. After 5 mins he pulls away and says, "Thanks, Moony. I needed that." I then say the words that nearly kill me with a smile, "What are friends for?".

[Time Skip = Next Day]

3rd Person POV:

Yesterday was eventful for Remus and Sirius. Those two stayed in their room the whole day, talking and laughing and talking some more. In between, James, Lily, Peter, and Marlene came in, Remus explained the letter to them. They all comforted Sirius and, to make Padfoot smile, roasted their teachers from high school and their professors in college until it was time for dinner. They headed up once dinner was done and slept. Remus woke up in the middle of the night to Sirius having a nightmare. Moony woke him up and they ended up cuddling the entire night.

Now, Remus and Sirius were walking around Hogwarts as it was Sunday and classes started the next day again. They were near the main entrance door of Hogwarts University when they heard someone shout, "SIRIUS!".

Sirius immediately turned towards where the voice came from. He did not believe his eyes. "Regulus!?!"

A/N: So this is where I complete this chapter. This is longer than usual but it has a lot going on in it. Hopefully, everything made sense. Please give comments and suggestions.
