I'M SO SORRY, MY COMPUTER LAGGED. I THOUGHT I POSTED 3 DAYS AGO, BUT I DIDN'T. SO HERE'S THE SECOND ONE TODAY. : )

Charlie's POV ]

I felt her staring at me, silently asking why we had everyone's attention. But I ignored her, thinking that she would drop it.

I was so wrong.

"What kinda coffee do you want?"

"I'll just have a plain black." I never liked those fancy flavors of coffee Algrinds sold.

"Boring. I'll have a plain black and an iced vanilla latte please."

Whilst we each sat down in front of the counter, I took the chance to observe her.

Her eyes were trained on the bartender. And she had this habit of biting her lips. I realised how her hair was curly today, falling just below her shoulders. I couldn't explain how attractive this girl is.

When I flirted with her back in our room, she seemed totally unfazed by me. She was the first girl who didn't fall on her knees for me, which is what I kinda like about her.

Yeah, I just met her, but I know what I feel.

"Here." she handed me my coffee, snapping me out of my daze.

"Are you staring at me?" she asked after taking a sip off her straw.

shit. I shake my head, a stray strand of hair falls down my forehead.

I lifted my hands and run them through my hair.

"So, why were everyone staring at you?"

I cleared my throat at the sudden change of topic. "By me, you mean us?" I winked.

"Oh please, I've walked through those halls for the past year and noone has paid me attention, so why now?" she asked. She looks so cute when she's impatient.

I shrug. If she doesn't know who I am, I wanna get to know her first. Without her knowing that I'm the son of Elbert Lennings, one of the richest and most successful businessmen back in New York.

"And why haven't I seen you around before?" Maddie asks, taking another sip of her latte.

"Well I'm studying to be a doctor. What do you study?"

"Psychology." she shrugs.

"So do you know what I'm thinking about you right now?" I smirked, knowing that it'll make her blush profusely.

She giggles and said, "It's psychology, not psychic-ology."

We laugh and talked about her past. It was quite interesting but never did she mention her family.

odd .

After about an hour or so, we decided to retreat back to our room.

Maddie paid for the coffee, as agreed on, and then we walked back in the winter cold.

I wasn't stingy even though I was rich. It was a bet.

It doesn't snow in New York but it does here, in Philadelphia.

My father wasn't a big fan when I moved here. He wanted me to take on the family business but I had other plans.

"Hey, watcha thinking about?"

I turned my head and looked down. Our eyes locked and my heart skipped.

"Uh," I cleared my throat, clearing the tension between us.

Maddie's smile faltered for a second, but I caught it. She plastered a fake smile and pointed towards our dorm.

"Alright c'mon let's go." she giggles.

I chuckle and follow after.

I glanced down at my watch and found out that it was already 8:30pm. time really does fly..

I fished out my keys when we reached our door, unlocking it. Immediately after, Maddie runs into the room like a child in an amusement park and flops herself onto her bed, facedown.

She giggles contently and I laugh at her immaturity. "Hey darling, remember to breathe down there."

She scoffs. "I can totally breathe like this."

Seconds after, she lifts up her head and inhales deeply. I chuckle. "Uh huh."

She's too adorable.
