1~Break Free.

Ayeesha's POV
Another regular boring day, waking up in your own parent's house like a slave. I went to the wall where my calender is and ticked the last day which is today 13th of December. Staring at the picture of my Dad, Mum and i(next to the calendar) made me miss all the good memories I had with them but everything left with mum when she passed away.
Six months after mum died,Dad remarried to get over mum.Unfortunately, he couldn't so he went into drinking. Two years passed but all Dad does is to stay out all day and come back drunk at night,my stepmother goes to work, come back and have parties just to show off her new accessories and clothing everyweek while Ryan(my stepbrother) makes my life a living hell at home and even in school.

"Today is the day I free myself,today is the day i run away from this hell for good".I thought to myself with alot of confidence while I pack the rest of my clothes and some valuables in a small suitcase.
"Ayeesha,Ayeesha". I heard a familiar voice called.
"Coming". I forcefully blurted out all the way from my room.

Running downstairs, I stopped two feets away from Ryan as I made contacts with him.

"My friends are coming over tonight, make sure everything is ready as usual before they arrive". He said "Mum is not coming back till tomorrow and I have somewhere to be so behave". He continued.
"Okay".I replied with a weird look.
"Why give me that look princess" He said with a smirk on his face."Now get back upstairs before i have a change of mind".He continued.

I rushed upstairs with tears droping down my face at the thought of Ryan punishing me while the door made sound as he left the house. I got up refusing to let him get into my head. This is it,the chance I've been waiting for its finally here. I can't be more excited than i am. I went downstairs and tried to open the door with my suitcase in hand but it was locked.

"Why didn't I think of that and there is no spire key".How foolish of me i thought"the back door". I quickly thought to myself.

On getting there,it was open waiting for me arms wide. I guess Ryan forgot to lock it. I took a long deep breath letting all the bad engry out before taking off not knowing where I'm going and I had little to no money on me.

I'm so gonna die.

I branched at some place to buy something to eat considering I was famished at the moment. After I got what I was to eat, I was to pay when a shadow obstructed my view. It happened to be a very cute guy(had a crush on) and guess what it was one of Ryan's friend(Alex). We introduced each other and he ended up paying for my lunch. I said thanks and hurried out of the shop before Alex could recognise me. I couldn't manage to give Alex my number due to the fact that i cant leave a clue behind for Ryan.
On my way, I almost got run over by a car and when the driver came out to apologise, it turned out to be my best friend(karlee). She has been my best friend since kindergarden so she basically knows everything going on in my life. Seeing me with my suitcase, she didn't bother interrogating me.

"Get in the car".she said "so, finally you're leaving the house for those assholes".she continued.
"Yh, seems like it". I replied.
"Well, lucky you, i met you here so we can just go to my house together. She asked.
"Nooooooooooo". I said with fear written all over my face.
"Why not". She questioned with a sad face.
"Well, i can't stay with you karlee and not in this town too because Ryan will not spare me when he lays hands on me and i cant let him find me, I'm sorry. I replied.
"Its OK Esha, i understand. She said with a sad smile on her face.

karlee took away my phone incase Ryan trys to track me, she wrote her number down for me and dropped me in a bus station and also payed my fees. We hugged and said our goodbyes making me want to cry because I dont know when next we might meet again.
Few hours later, the bus stopped so, I decided to drop considering I had no idea where I was going and I'm the only passenger in the bus. I spotted a very small but cute restaurant across the street. I went inside and ordered for food with my last money. I surprisely got some change back so I went out to the nearest phone booth to call karlee after finishing my meal,Informing her that im safe but refusing to tell her my where about because I also had no idea where I was.
I continued my journey on foot after the phone call and soon enough it was starting to get dark and cold outside. I spent over an hour walking and turning in different directions until I spotted a group of guys following me. I decided to make a turn to confirm for myself but they also turned so I started walking as fast as I can until i started running unknowingly but was still been followed. I got to a house where I knocked on the door severely but there was no reply and from the look of it, the guys already left. I found a space under a very large and luxurious house where I decided to hide and spend a night before I continue my journey the next day hoping for the guys not to show up again. unfortunately for me it wasn't where I ended up waking up.
