I woke up the next day, sweating. 'It's the day I choose which faction to choose...I'll either betray my family, or stay with them...leave my friends, or stay with them...(*insert what Naegi says before a class trial here but with songs like NicoB*)...' No, I shouldn't focus on that. Or should I? I don't even know anymore. I went downstairs, eating. Breakfast with the rest of my family. Lukas looked concerned about something, though. I wanted to ask him what was wrong, but I knew I shouldn't.

After waiting for a while, it was time for me to choose. I went over to the five bowls, deciding which one I will put my blood in. Kindness? Bravery? Selflessness? What do I pick? I picked up the knife and closed my eye. I cut my hand, spilling droplets of blood on the floor. Then, my hand darted over the coals. My time for choosing was over. I went to the Dauntless and stood by them as I watched my brother pick. What he picked surprised me. He brought the knife to his hand, spilling his blood. He then went to the bowl I just went to and poured it in. He walked over to me and put his hand on my shoulder. I stared at him. Why? Why Dauntless? I had so many questions that would have to be answered later.
