Another day - That's odd enough too.

I woke up to realise that Leo had left a long time, so I got up and sighed.

alone again.

sometimes the loneliness gets to your head, that's why what's going to happen took place in the forest.

I once again started to feel a little dizzy, holding my head with one hand. I knew the urge was going to take over again and I couldn't stop it. I watched as slowly dark scales started spreading all over my body, from my feet to my neck, from my fingertips to my shoulders. I once again started to panic, looking around terrified. I started to move swiftly, drool slightly dripping from the dark, scaly dragon-like snout that was now there instead of my normal mouth.

I jumped through the forest looking around for prey to find so I could feast upon it, since I felt like I was starving. I needed food.

As I swiftly moved through the forest I saw the occasional small prey, but it wasn't going to be enough. I needed bigger prey. It HAD to be bigger.

Out of nowhere I heard a gunshot. It must've been a shotgun, by the sound of it. I moved my gaze over to the direction where I heard the loud noise come from and saw a hunter, seeming to struggle with something. I watched as the gun wielding man started to shout for someone to show themselves, frantically looking around. I flinched as the guy shot once more , the shot just barely missing me. Out of no where I felt as if I was being watched, but it couldn't be the hunter that was staring at me, because he was staring way above me.

I took the opportunity and pounced onto the hunter , digging my canine like teeth into the hunters neck, slowly but surely making it crack under the pressure. I bit that hard the man's head got decapitated , the head rolling off into the bushes.

I don't like the heads anyway.

I attempted to ignore the fact that I could feel an angry gaze pierce through the back of my head. I just slowly dragged the body to a denser part of the forest, not willing to turn around to see who was behind me. It probably had been that stupid succubus again, but I don't think the man would've freaked out like that if it really had been the succubus , so I simply didn't want to take the risk any further.

Whilst I feasted upon my meal, I still had the same feeling of being watched, so after I finished and somehow was full I got up and left to clean myself again. I once more went to that same lake and hesitated to take off my hoodie at first , since I still felt like someone was watching me. Now I was getting cranky.

"Could you leave me alone ? This is ridiculous, just leave already you stupid succubus!"

All I heard in response was a low and heavy huff, most likely from a male and as soon as I heard that I turned quiet and way more paranoid. Who were they? It couldn't have been Leo, that small boy's voice was way more different . Whilst I looked around in attempt to find whoever was watching me, I didn't notice that something was creeping up on me from behind. I then sniffed at the air, slowly turning my head around to see nothing.

I wonder who that was.

The feeling of being watched finally subsided, so I could get changed and clean my hoodie again.

After I was done with that, I decided to look around the woods in attempt to find whoever was watching me the whole time. After a while I had looked through multiple caves and trees, but I couldn't find anyone or anything, so I just gave up. I sunk down onto the ground next to a tree, looking around the treetops in hope of seeing someone, but I only saw a little bird. It was sitting on a branch , seeming to watch me. I didn't quite mind since it was only a bird and I got out a notepad I always had with me, starting to draw with a pencil I had found on the ground, close to the city that was next to this forest.

As I was drawing I could sense that the small bird got closer, it now sitting on the ground next to me.  I looked at it but something seemed awfully wrong about that bird. I tried to ignore it , but I just couldn't . As soon as I looked at the bird it tilted it's head before quickly flying far away from me

I watched it fly away , now a little more confused about the bird . I got back up and walked towards the direction of where the bird flew. I fought my way through all the plants and nearly lost sight of where the bird went .

I still found it however , and I found something along with the bird .

It was a cabin in the middle of the forest and I was surprised I hadn't seen it before . I looked at the bird as it landed in front of the door , noticing that the bird started twitching oddly .

Because I was worried that something would happen I hid behind a tree until I could tell that it was fully quiet. There were no sounds , nothing. Dead silence .

I hesitated if I should peek around the tree , my heart pounding pretty harshly . I noticed that I seemed to be having yet another panic attack and I tried to calm myself down . As I finally somewhat calmed down I stood up straight , still behind the tree.

I then decided to peek around the tree and what I saw next terrified me to death.

I was face to face with someone else , my face only inches away from it as I screamed and tumbled backwards . And again my heart started racing.

I looked at the other one I had been so close to with my face , realising it was Leo.

Why was he here ?

"Holy crap Leo, what on earth are you doing here ? You scared me to death. Say... are you alright ? You look very pale."

I asked because he looked way paler than normally and Leo was acting weird . I inspected Leo before looking at where the bird should've been , realising it wasn't there anymore .

Instead there just was a deep red puddle of blood, surrounding the area where the bird stood. I don't think the bird was alive anymore , but then again that was pretty obvious.

I looked back at Leo , now confused and scared.

"Did you kill that bird there ?" I nodded over to the blood stain.

"What bird are you talking about? I don't know anything about a bird ever being there ."

My expression changed , now a little concerned about how The boy had been acting . He was acting way off .

I slowly got up, walking towards Leo. He noticed it and took a step back , the weird smile he had had on his face fading away.

"Why are you going away from me ? Did I do something wrong ? I'm sorry Leo if I did anything... just don't go please !" I pleaded , reaching out for him before he turned around and ran away.

Only then I realised that couldn't have been Leo. Whoever was trying to imitate Leo forgot that he was smaller than me, so I started to follow whoever was trying to be my best friend , calling after them.

"Who on earth are you and why did you pretend to be my best friend ?!"

The person I was chasing was pretty fast and I couldn't keep up , so I had to give up on the chase . After I turned around I was greeted by the real Leo. This time I was sure.

"What are you doing here all alone Toby? And why is there blood on your sleeve?"

And surely, as I looked down at my sleeve it had blood on it. I groaned in annoyance , knowing i had to clean the hoodie again. I then looked back at Leo and simply answered with the truth:

"I was chasing someone that tried to be you ... I don't know what that was or who they were . Will you help me find out ?"

Leo looked at me baffled for a moment before nodding.

"Ok, let's head to the library , maybe we'll find something there."

I agreed and we both went to the city located close to the forest , to the library.
