It was a lovely day in Seoul, Korea. The sun was hanging up on the sky, shining brightly. Not much clouds can be seen on the pale blue yonder. Every living thing seems lively and happy under the bright sunshine. Everybody was excited to welcome this sunny day except this one girl, Kang Seulgi.

"Power Up" by Red Velvet can be heard in her room as the raven-haired girl set her favourite song as her alarm to pull her from the dream world back to reality.

"Another shitty day for me to suffer." Seulgi sighed while stopping the alarm ringing beside the bed with her left hand.

Seulgi got up from her bed after struggling for at least five minutes with morning fatigue.

She was led to the living room by the smell of bacons and eggs came from the kitchen.

"Oh, you're awake! Good morning Seulgi."

Wendy greeted her best friend while preparing breakfast for both of them.

"Good morning my 'wandaful' friend." Seulgi greeted.

"Go wash up first, the breakfast should be done in a minute."

"Can't I skip school?"

"Your scholarships won't allow it Seulgi."

"Ugh! I fucking hate school and those shitheads."

"Just avoid them as much as you can."

"They are everywhere!"

Seulgi stomped off to the bathroom and got dressed for school.

After washing her face, she looked at the reflection of herself in the mirror. The cat-like mono-lidded eyes, swollen puffy face with chubby cheeks.

'How can I be so damn ugly?' Seulgi thought.

"Hey, are you done?"

"Yeah, I'm coming."

Seulgi was a cheerful kid, she had a family that loves and cares for her until recently her parents found out about her sexuality. Seulgi lived in a Christian family, her parents couldn't believe that their precious daughter was a lesbian. They disowned Seulgi and kicked her out. Seulgi wandered on the cold and dirty street for a while before Wendy's family found her and took her back home. They treated her like their own daughter.

Wendy was the only child in her family thus when her parents brought Seulgi back home she was thrilled that she finally has a 'sister' to play with.

Wendy went to the same high school and lived in a dorm together with her 'sister', Seulgi. Seulgi constantly got bullied by her classmates, Wendy would always go to help and ended up with bruises and an injured Seulgi by her side.

Pain was nothing to Wendy, she was a 1000-year old vampire after all, she had regeneration power that would heal any wounds within days. Seulgi had never understood how Wendy got fully recovered in just a short amount of time when herself needed at least two weeks to heal a small inch of wound on her body.

Getting bullied for being ugly every day, Seulgi became more and more depressed then eventually led to herself drawing lines on her wrist with knives every night, she hoped to die in a silent way.

Wendy talked to her parents about Seulgi's situation, she asked for permission to turn Seulgi into one of them but her parents refused to. They said it was too dangerous to turn Seulgi into a vampire, it might cost her life.

"Hey did you cut yourself again last night?!" Wendy looked at the raven-haired girl's wrist with shock.

"It's nothing Wendy, I'm fine." Seulgi muttered while quickly slipped her wrist inside her hoodie.

"Hey, stop with the self-harming. I don't wanna lose a sister." The hamster-like Canadian pouted at Seulgi.

"I'll try?"

"Go eat your breakfast, I'll be there in a minute."

"kay."

Seulgi went to the kitchen and grabbed her food, leaving Wendy alone in the bathroom. She never knew that the Canadian was secretly drinking animal blood in the bathroom. Wendy told her that the dark red liquid bottles sitting in the bathroom cabinet were just fake blood for pranks. Seulgi believed her, how innocent.

"Hey, be positive and try to focus on good things Seulgi." Wendy smiled at her mono-lidded friend.

"I will Wendy, see you at lunch break."

"Bye!"

Seulgi stood at the front of the school gate and watched as her best friend hops into the school. For Seulgi, Wendy was her angel, the hamster gives the warmest smile and hug to her whenever she was feeling sad. Wendy was the sister she wished she had in her old family. The Canadian girl was kind and selfless for her which was the reason she was still alive, living in this cruel world.

While Seulgi was walking at the hallways, a figure shoved her to the locker beside her, the poor girl groaned.

"Oh, look who's back! The ugly ass trash, Kang Seulgi."

Kai.

Also known as the biggest dickhead in the school, Bae Joohyun's boyfriend.

"Fuck off Kai, I have classes to go."

Seulgi pushed the guy aside and walked away only to get forcefully pushed back to the side locker again by Kai. The raven-haired girl was trying to hide her tears and pain from that person.

"I'm not done with you yet, bitch." Kai shouted.

"What do you want?!"

"There's a rumor I heard." He smirked. Oh, how Seulgi wished she could wipe off that stupid smirk on his face by punching him, but she didn't.

"What rumor?"

Seulgi turned her head away, not wanting to have any eye contact with that person. However, Kai put his fingers on Seulgi's face, forcing her to look directly at his eyes.

"I heard that you like my girlfriend, Irene, huh?"

That name hit Seulgi with a sting of pain, Bae Irene. The girl she always had a crush on but never confessed to her. Irene and Seulgi were close friends, they used to hang out all the time until one day, Irene started dating Kai that jerk. Since then, their friendship started to went downhill. Irene started to ignore Seulgi's phone call; avoids Seulgi in school.

One time, Seulgi's phone got stolen by Sehun, one of Kai's friend, he found the text of Seulgi confessing she has a crush on Irene in the chatroom with Wendy. He then revealed it to everybody in cafeteria. Seulgi had a fist fight with the guy, it was a whole mess. She got carried away by her angel in the end.

The rumor got spread widely in school but had never gotten into Irene's ears, somehow.

"So what? It's not like she will like me back either. She's not a fucking disgusting lesbian like me, am I right?" Tears uncontrollably ran down her face as soon as said the most hurtful thing out loud to herself.

Kai slapped the raven-haired girl and threw her to the ground.

"At least you have some common sense, a dyke like you has no rights whatsoever." Kai smirked and walked away.

Seulgi saw a small figure behind Kai as soon as he walked away.

A petite brunette with milky white skin, she has a pair of mesmerizing dark brown orbs. The vanilla scent emitted from her body could be sniffed by the mono-lidded girl.

It's her.
