Chapter 31

"Why do we have to go back to school?" Dinah was nagging once again. As they all walked through the hallways.

School started again and none of them really wanted to be here.

"Well, let's grab something to eat cause I'm actually starving." Camila said as they sat down at the lunch table.

"You're always starving, no matter how much you eat." Normani joked.

She went on her phone to text Zayn. He had been acting suspiciously weird after the New Year's Eve party.

"What's up?" Camila asked her. Noticing her friends worries.

"Nothing... it's just Zayn has been acting very weird lately. I feel like he's cheating on me."

Dinah and Camila gave eachother this look. They had the same feeling.

People like Zayn weren't trustworthy to be with in a relationship.

"I mean not to bring you down even more but look at his so called squad. They all exist of stupid fuckboys... they don't just change overnight." Dinah began.

Normani glared at her. "Are you seriously gonna say that? I've been dating him for a year now. He must be changed."

Camila noticed the tension and she didn't want her two best friends to fight.

"That's true. Okay maybe Zayn is a changed person. But.. just think about me and Lauren and how that ended..." Camila tried to reason.

"Lauren never cheated on you. She literally lied to save your ass from going back to Cuba. I don't like Lauren and all her actions but she never cheated on you." Normani defended her green eyed friend.

Just then Shawn came to sit down next to them.

"What's up with you guys?" He eyed each of them noticing something off.

They didn't answer him instead they all just looked at eachother with anger and continued eating.

Normani looked around to see if she could maybe spot her boyfriend somewhere.

"Huh isn't that Lauren talking to your little sister?" She nudged Shawn. To make him look at the scene too.

"Yeah it seems like it..." he said taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Wait.. Aaliyah is here in school?" Camila said a little surprised.

"Yeah, she transferred to this school because she had too much drama at her own school." He explained. But he was still keeping a close eye on Lauren and his little sister.

Just the way Camila was looking at them now as well...

"If you ever need a grand tour of this boring school, just hit me up." Lauren winked at the younger Mendes.

Aaliyah blushed. Totally under full control of the famous Jauregui girl.

Lauren turned around to walk over to her friends when she bumped into Shawn.

"Hey dude." She greeted him.

"Hey, ehm why were you talking to my little sister?" He seemed slightly nervous.

He didn't want his little sister to become one of Lauren's victims. The friendship between the two had definitely grown throughout the year but this small thing could ruin everything. So he had to stop it.

"Oh right.. well I wasn't doing anything wrong. Just making her feel comfortable. You know how it is to be new and all." She reassured him.
