This one isn't all that great since I rushed to finish it :p But it was fun to write.

--Start One-Shot--

“Ah, have you already figured it out already, Aichi?” A woman asked a small boy when she noticed a look of realization cross his face.

“I-I think so,” the small boy mumbled, staring at the television, “I think it was the woman in the pink shirt who took it!”

“And why's that?” she couldn't help the smile that graced her face.

“Because she has a stain on her shirt, it's only a slightly different shade of pink, but it's there, and because that same shade is the color of the missing box!” he deduced, and turned to smile at his mother, then back at the television. His smile only widened when they announced the culprit, the woman in the pink shirt, and the boy tackled the woman in a hug, “Did I do good momma?”

“Mm,” the woman nodded, “Very good.”

I let out a groan, and rub my eyes, I had started to doze off, thinking about my past with that.. woman. I sat back in my chair and swatted a pencil that was nearing my face away, “Don't even think about Nagisa!”

A girl with light brown hair and green eyes straightened up and pouted, “You were day dreaming! I wanted to see if you'd notice!” she crossed her arms.

I smile at her, “Well, I did notice, are you happy?”

“Not really,” she pouted again, “I wanted to poke your cheek!”

Oh, wait, maybe I should pause for a moment. My name is Aichi Nakumura, I am fourteen years old, and live with my Aunt Akane, Uncle Akiro, and my cousin Arashi. I never did get my families fascination with having all of our first names begin with an A, and I know if I ever have a child, there name will not begin with an A.

Anyway, back on topic, I have dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. Oh, and before I forget to mention, I'm a detective! Though, the police tend to think I'm just a dumb kid who doesn't know what he's doing, which really annoys me.

“Come on Aichi,” I feel my arm being tugged on, and then I was being dragged down the hallway, “I want lunch!” Nagisa whined.

Nagisa Jennings, her mom is Japanese and her father is American, and she has been my best friend since fourth grade. I remember when we were younger people would always say that we were perfect together and would end up together. I can't help but wonder if all best friends that are opposite genders get the same treatment. We did try dating though, we ended up deciding that it was too awkward and stayed friends.

“Hello, Aichi,” I wave at my blonde haired and blue eyed cousin, Arashi.

I started living with Arashi and his parents when I was seven years old. I still cringe thinking about the reason I had to live with them, especially since I've dedicated my life to trying to stop things like that.

“Hi Arashi!” Nagisa chirped cheerfully and plopped down in the seat next to me with a tray of food.

“Nagisa,” he smiles politely, before nibbling on a piece of sausage, though he doesn't admit to liking anything, sausage is his favorite food.

“Aichi!” I feel a pair of arms wrap around me, and then a body is next to mine, a girl is now sitting next to me. A girl with long red hair and big brown eyes.

“Modoka,” I nod at her.

Modoka Ryuki became my friend when she found out about what I was doing to try and help the police, apprently she's my number one fan. Though, at first I just brushed her off, not really caring, but after she defended me when the police were telling me to get lost, I guess I just became friends with her, much to the dislike of her friend Ryuu Yamato, who even at this moment is glaring me, wishing that looks really could kill, and I guess it helps that her father is head detective on the police squad.
