Aisha's POV
The sky was painted in a strong dark blue, accompanied by a colossal body reminiscent of the moon.
The ground where we stood was a dull dark brown and the air was hot and heavy to breathe in.
We've been traveling around the Demon Realm for many days now and we are heading for Crimson Tower, a monument that one day began to act up and released a fiery aura that caused the spirits to go berserk and the land to die in a fire.
The scenery showed no signs of life. There were no plants or animals in sight, only the vast emptiness surrounding us.
"Why does everything look so dead? Not a single living thing in site..." Raven also seemed to notice this and furrowed his brows.
"Indeed. It seems all plant life has dried up for many years." Eve added as she seemingly scanned the area.
Rena thanked the tiny spirit that led us here before it quickly disappeared from sight.
I started gazing off at the never-ending sight of void and death in the land.
Its aura was unlike anything I've ever sensed before. This whole place actually left a feeling of familiarity, but I didn't understand why.
"Hello? Earth to Aisha! You there?"
"...Ah?!" Startled, I looked up to see Elsword looking at me with his deep crimson eyes, his dark red hair gently sweeping across his handsome face.
I felt a bit uncomfortable having him stare at me so intently. I quickly looked down, my face heating up.
"O-o-of course I am! I was just... looking around for any demons, you never know when they'll suddenly come to attack."
My response mustn't have been very convincing as Elsword looked at me with a concerned expression.
"Hey, we've battled some of the toughest monsters ever! We won't lose to some measly demons now, cheer up."
Surprised, I faced Elsword who was gently smiling at me.
My body felt lighter and I couldn't stop my face from flushing further.
I tightly gripped my wand and nodded once at him.
"You're right. This is no time to be scared of some dumb demons. I'll beat them to a pulp if they lay their filthy fingers on anyone. That includes you Elsword."
We were both smiling at this point and let out a small chuckle. Elsword playfully patted my shoulder.
"Good to see you're back to normal."
Elsword, although he doesn't know it, he's managed to put my mind at ease in the toughest moments.
After our short chat, we went back to the rest of the group who were still discussing on what was around us.
Elesis seemed to have noticed something and quickly spoke. "This whole place seems to be covered in a red fog, yet it's clear where we're standing."
"Like the eye of the storm.." Raven quickly added.
Elsword seemed to bolt immediately after hearing this. "So that's what it was. This place definitely feels like Lanox!"
So that's why this place felt a bit familiar. There was no way I would've felt that if it were because we came here before.
