Tears of Wait

I always linger in the doorway

Waiting for him to come home

Always in a maze so far away

Taking a million tears with me alone

Can’t understand

That my heart beat is slowing down.

This place I call home

Is hell without you by my side

Wait for some, love me some,

Because that will make it last tonight

But I’ll not see the light of tomorrow

Unless you give me some of your blood and sorrow.

Strangeness surrounds me lonesome

Because my right hand is so far away

The sunlight is not on this place I call home

Because your footprints have faded away

Oh! When  will you hold my hand again?

Today I am alone

Tomorrow will be lost

And then I will succumb to cold

Because my love is forlorn

What will it cost?

Death is near as my wait grows old.
