Hi! This is my first story. I just wanted to say... this story might not be like the book. I am just going to be writing it with the concept.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Prim.Prim.Wake up! It is reaping day." Katniss said while shaking me awake.

"Huh?" I said, confused. Then it all came back to me. It was my first reaping. I was so so so SOSOSO scared!I burried my head in katniss' dress, and sobbed.

Once she had finally calmed me down, and gotten me dressed, we started walking down to the reaping. We got sorted by age, and taken to different places. Then, the silly capitol lady,Effie, came to the mic. it got so silent, you could hear a wig drop.

" Welcome. Let me say, i am so happy to see you!" No one responded.

Usually, they show a video, but this year, I guess not!

"Hppy hunger games, and may the odds be EVER in your favor!" she reached into a bowl.I think she also said " laidies," but I was too scared to hear.

"Primrose?Primrose Everdeen?"

NO. This can not be happening. I look over at katniss one last time. She is sobbing. And with that, I know i am dead.

CHAPTER 2

KATNISS POV

This is unfair! Its her first year! I can't let her go in the hunger games. Unless someone volunteers, Prim will die!

"I volunteer" A voice screams out, breaking my thoughts. I spin around, trying to find the source of the voice.  Malinda (dumb name, i know) Donnavan struts confidently up to the stage.

"Hello! I'm Malinda,i'm 13, and i'm gonna win the hunger games!"she states in confident tone.

"We love to see enthusiasm!!"says Effie in her high pitched british accent.

I hate the capitol! Who makes kids kill each other for entertainment? AHHHHH!

Malinda gets escorted into the Justice building. I rush in the doorway, waiting to thank her.

"THANK YOU" I rush in, tackle Malinda.

"THANK YOU THANK YOU!"
