Jaiyda started to get fussy and Alexa went to get her. For the fourth time sitting there, Sasha called.
“Hello?” Bayley says into the phone and she hears Sasha’s voice that sounds a bit jumpy.
“Oh thank God. Are you okay?” she asked and Bayley knit her eyebrows together.
“Yeah. I’m okay.” Bayley says and Sasha calms down.
“Can you talk right now?” Sasha asked and she glimpsed Alexa near the stairs.
“Uhh, yeah I can.” Bayley answered getting up from the chair.
“I mean - in person.” she said and Bayley bites down on her bottom lip before agreeing.
“Yeah I can. I’ll text you the address.” Bayley says hanging up the phone and Alexa comes down the stairs with Jaiyda who was crying.
Bayley text the address to Sasha and Alexa shows up at the top of the staircase. She makes her way down the steps. “She got a fever.” Alexa announced and she head to the bathroom.
“Uh, oh. That is not good.” Bayley says taking Jaiyda from Alexa’s arms. “That is not good, mama.” Bayley said sweetly as Alexa checked the dosage for babies on the box of Children’s Tylenol.
She took the syringe out and placed the correct amount in it. She opened Jaiyda’s mouth and began to give her the medicine which she spit up a little.
Bayley walked around rocking Jaiyda until she fell back to sleep. There was a knock on the front door and Bayley opened it.
“Hey..” Sasha says with a straight face.
“Hey..” Bayley says and Sasha steps back off the step. Bayley closed the door behind her.
“What do you want to talk about?” Bayley asked and Sasha sighed.
“You stopped talking to me.” Sasha says and Bayley scratches the back of her neck.
“I’ve just been busy is all. I still talk to you.” Bayley says lowly and Sasha nods.
“Yeah, sometimes you do.” she says and she steps back again looking back at her motorcycle. “You sure you’re okay?” Sasha asked seeing the faded bruises on her skin.
“Yeah. I am.” Bayley says and Sasha nods.
“Maybe one day, you’ll ride with me on my motorcycle again?” she says and Bayley smiles a little bit looking down at her feet.
That smile. Oh that smile.
A week later, Bayley was on a walk with Alexa and Bayley sees Sasha and her boyfriend. She wanted to look away but, she couldn’t.
Her heart broke as she saw Sasha tip toe and kiss him.
Sasha was the one always busy. Especially after they hung out once more three days after she visited. She is taken and that’s why. Bayley was hurt everytime she saw them together.
Flashback
Bayley had her head on Sasha’s lap as they listened to metal rock band songs. Bayley wasn’t a huge fan but, anything for Sasha.
Sasha’s phone began to ring and she got up leaving Bayley alone to sit on the bed. She hear Sasha telling him how much she loved him. It broke her.
Flashback End
Bayley felt hurt for so long that she felt as if she was drowning. Nobody could see, nobody noticed. Atleast Lauryn kind of did but, Bayley is a great actress.
Alexa looked in the direction of Bayley’s eyes. “You know them?” she asked and Bayley stares a while longer before responding.
“No.” she replied clearly a little upset.
“What’s wrong?” Alexa asked
“Nothing. I’m just not feeling great.” Bayley says looking down at the ground.
“Okay. Let’s get home then.” she smiled and Bayley longed to be as happy as Alexa was.
That would obviously start with her getting rid of Sasha atleast partially or slightly but, she couldn’t.
Alexa walked with Bayley back home before she head home. Everyone was asleep and Bayley was on the bathroom floor crying softly.
She couldn’t sleep due to the horrible nightmares she had and the thought of Sasha with her boyfriend.
Why does that bother her? It shouldn’t bother her. Sasha is just a friend of hers. If even that.
“You clearly don’t understand how bad it hurts.. how it feels to like someone only to have them be taken or to not like you back.” Bayley whispered.
“It hurts to see you two together. I know it’s stupid.” she whispers as tears rolls down her eyes. She noticed that she had already started cutting with the double ended blade she had in her hand.
She dropped it after the fourth one.
“Just love me back.. just please. How can you not tell I like you?” Bayley whispered as she wiped her eyes.
