I sat on the plane, eagered to get away. Replaying over in my mind, the horrific events over the last couple of days that were leading up to this. I guess I always knew deep down I would've been settling with Smitty, so in a way, this was a horrible blessing in disguise. All of the little untold truths that were coming to a head; every time I would let my hair down and Smitty always had something negative to say.
The flight attendant in first class came to my pod and asked, "Would you like some champagne ma'am?"
"Yes please, with some orange juice." I replied politely. I thought to myself, "I don't want to look like a COMPLETE lush drinking this early."
I had always flown Business Class, so First Class was definitely a bump up in traveling. It was like flying in a suite. I glanced outside the window, wishing the plane could just taxi from the gate and get in the air already. I had already breathed enough of the same time-zone air as Charlie and Smitty. When the attendant came back with my mimosa, she had already snagged a few bags of pretzels. "That's it, wherever I go, I'm flying first class from now on."
The captain had just turned off the seat belt sign when it was time for me to go use the bathroom. I got up, lost my footing, and tripped right at the feet of some man. Too embarrassed to even look at his face, I dusted my knees off, and he grabbed me by the elbows.
"Are you okay? That was some fall you took." A smooth deep, accented voice vibrated deep within.
"Yeah, I'm just a klutz who should know better than to drink mimosas." I said to him, still too embarrassed to look at him.
He took my chin by his thumb and forefinger, ensuring eye contact, "Don't feel bad, it's the cabin pressure as well that can mess with your equilibrium. Do you need me to take a look at your knees just in case?"
"No, I'm good. It didn't hurt that bad, I promise." Fuck was this man's deep hazel eyes were mesmerizing. Sure I wasn't looking for any type of affection, but that didn't mean the lower parts of me weren't working. And I definitely was getting some type of reaction from between my legs. I pulled my head back, out of his grasp, remembering I needed to use the bathroom, but now needing to use it for a COMPLETELY different reason.
Heading back to my seat after using the lavatory, I glanced over at the suave, debonair, mysterious gentleman. He was in deep concentration looking at something at his tablet & biting his lower lip, but I got a good glimpse of his profile and to say he was simply sexy was an understatement of the century. He had sandy brown hair that was short on the sides but a little long on the top with a widows peak, his goatee only magnified his deep dimples and full lips, he had sharp cheekbones that should've look a little feminine on him, but somehow looked just right. And to top it off, he had freckles on his sun kissed latte complexion. I shook my head & proceeded back to my pod.
I knew it was going to be a while on this flight, so I got into a pair of yoga pants and a loose fitting shirt, closed the shudder on my window, put on my complementary sleeping eye mask, and laid back to go to try and have a peaceful sleep.
Apparently, having a mimosa in a different altitude could possibly alter the way you sleep, because when I awoke, we were already at the gate in the airport in Seville. Everyone had already gotten off the plane and the flight attendant was patiently waiting for me to follow suit.
When I made the made the travel plans, I spared no expense, as I had been saving up for this very moment one day. I had made sure to book me a suite at the Hotel Alfonso XIII. So, when I had gotten to baggage claim, I had a gentleman in a suit with my name in a masculine scrawl waiting for me. I truly felt like royalty.
