CHERYL'S P.O.V

I was going out with Michael.

Tonight.

After our little talking session was over, I spent some of my night thinking about it. Why was I so nervous? We would go out as good friends, so nothing would happen special. That was the deal, right?

I was pondering this from the moment I woke up. When I saw the time I immediately jumped out of bed, going to the bathroom and doing my morning hygiene. I had to rehearsal for my JBB performance, but first I'd leave Bear at my mother's house.

I entered his bedroom and there he was, on his crib, already awake playing with his with his toy. Bear was growing up so fast I could barely believe he was only a few months away from being 2 years-old.

– Oh, hi, my love – I said when he smiled shaking his little legs when he saw me – come on, let's eat, take a shower and then, go to grandma's house.

Less than an hour later, I was in the kitchen feeding Bear – he was the sweetest thing sitting on his char – and thinking about my date with Michael, when suddenly I was interropted by a Nicola reading some news on her phone, out loud.

"Cheryl loose control while flirting with the Hollywood star, Michael B Jordan on The Graham Norton Show". Don't you have something to tell me? – she said as she gave a cynical smile.

– What? No! This is sillyness, Nicola. Nothing happened, you know how the press is all about lies and sensationalism! – I said turning to her and then returning my attention to my son, but I knew she wouldn't stop.

– Cheryl, please, I watched the show last night just so I could see your reaction standing on the side of that handsome man and you were nervous. But of you were, actually, and in fact, I might have searched some comments on Twitter about the two of you. So, believe me, you had chemisty, and the fact that you're acting like that, tells me I'm right.

– Nicole, you're insane. We just shared a couple of words and that was it. No big deal. And I'm not insinuating anything – I said with a shrug, trying not to sound so nervous. Michael wasn't even here, then why only talking about him made me feel like that?

– Ah, no! Stop trying to sound so blasé, that only proves I'm right. And we know each other for 16 years, I know when you're insinuating something! – I looked at her in disbelief. I can't believe she used my own words against me.

– Alright, Nicola. I'll tell you what happened. For the love of God, you're impossible. Sit. – she clapped her hands together like a teenager and pulled out a chair to sit next to me. So I told her everything that happened, from the moment we said hello, to Michael's asking me out.

– I can't believe you're having dinner and making out with Black Panther. Cheryl, you're bloody lucky! – she tells me with her eyes shining as she brings the coffee cup to her mouth.

– What? No, Nicola! We're not going to make out. Nothing is going to happen. We're just good friends. And he's not Black Panther. – I said while taking Bear's plate and washing it.

– Whatever. I'm so happy you accepted it. I can't believe he answered your texts so fast!

– To be honest, me neither. I mean, he seems so busy and he came here just to promote his new movie. I never thought he would have time for that.

– Damn it, Cheryl. I can't wait for the next day to see the faces of both of you stamped on the websites and magazines. You would make a nice couple! – she said, grinning from ear to ear, looking like the Cheshire Cat.
