Elizabeth's POV

"Good morning, how may I help you?" I smiled at the receptionist. "I applied to work as a waitress at this casino and was informed to come today." The brunette squinted her purple eyes at the computer. "Hm... are you Elizabeth Liones?"

"That's me," I replied giving a shy wave. The brunette grinned at me. "Welcome to the team, Elizabeth, I'm Diane Envy." I was just about to reply when a voice interrupted me. "So you're the new girl." I turned around. A girl with dark, chocolate colored brown hair stared back at me coldly. Her aqua blue eyes seem to burn through my sapphire blue ones, and into my soul. From behind me, Diane sniffed "Zaneri! Leave her alone!" The girl, Zaneri, glared at me once more and sashayed off. Diane sighed. "Don't worry Elizabeth, Zaneri's always like that to new waitresses or essentially any female employees at first until she realizes you're not a threat." I stared quizzically at Diane. " A threat? Towards whom?" Diane snorted. "Towards herself. She's fond of the Captain but I've never seen him with anyone so she should probably give up."

"Who is the Captain?" Diane swooned dramatically. "Like just the hottest guy you'll EVER meet." I sweat dropped and thought skeptically. The hottest guy I'll ever meet. I don't think so. But I only said, "Well, she won't have to worry, I'm not going after this guy, no matter how good looking he is." Diane wiggled her eyebrows. "Are you sure 'bout that. Everyone says that before they meet him." I gave her a small smile and replied, "I'm sure." Diane sighed before shrugging, "There's no telling you otherwise huh? Guess reality is going to be the only one that's able to convince you." Feeling doubtful, I nodded hesitantly. "Crap! I almost forgot why you're here." Diane snapped her fingers and yelled towards a door near the back of the room I had not noticed before. "Hey! Elaine! We got a new member and I need you to come help tell her what she has to do."

The door opened and a small girl stepped out. She had short blonde hair and golden eyes. She frowned slightly and crossed her arms. "Diane, you don't have to yell, I can hear you perfectly fine. I'm not half deaf like the Captain." The "Captain" person again, I wonder who he really is. I thought to myself. Elaine turned towards me and smiled. "Nice to meet you Elizabeth, I'm Elaine if you didn't realize already." I smiled at her. "Hi Elaine, thanks for taking your time to show me the loop around here." Elaine giggled. "No problem, I do nothing half the time." Diane grimaced and looked at me in concern. "It's really not a great place out there in the casino, Elizabeth. Are you sure you're ready for this?" Elaine stepped in front of Diane. "That's why I'm here Diane." Diane sighed, placing her hand on Elaine's shoulders. "Elaine, your brother doesn't even allow you to be in there without him, the only reason I chose you to take Elizabeth around was that one, your brother isn't here today, two, we have no one else besides you and Ban here today and Ban has to cook. So be careful Elaine, I don't want King to murder me cause you got - ." She stopped abruptly and stared at her shoes. Elaine's face is full of suspicion and she took a step closer to Diane. "Because I got what, Diane?" Diane looked up and sighed. "Just be careful."

Before Elaine could keep pressing Diane to tell her, I hesitantly stepped forward and grabbed her arm. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but um we've wasted 30 minutes on this and I want to start on my job." Elaine looked torn between her responsibility and curiosity but in the end, she sighed and walked back towards the little door. "Come on Elizabeth, first I'll show you the waitress uniform." As I followed Elaine towards the door, Diane flashed a grateful grin at me. I smiled back and mouthed "You're welcome".

Elaine closed the door behind us and I saw that we were in a small locker room. She pointed to a locker. "That's yours. Your uniform is in there. I'll leave you to change, after you're done, meet me outside." I nodded and she walked out. I took a deep breath. No backing out now, Elizabeth. I opened the locker and took out my outfit. At the sight of it, I almost gasped out loud. It consisted of a pink crop top with a blue bow at the collar and a very short black skirt with a pink belt. I also had a thigh length black sock with a pair of black and white kitten heel. I shook my head in disbelief. This can't be the uniform! It doesn't even look like one! I slowly opened the door Elaine told me to meet her at and poked my head out. She was standing with her back to me. "Um, Elaine...?" Elaine turned around and looked at me quizzically. "Why aren't you in your uniform?"

"I - um... are you sure the one you put in my locker was the right one?" Elaine scrunched up her nose. "Yep, I'm almost 100% sure its the one." I gulped. "Isn't it too... I dunno... revealing...?" Elaine shrugged. "The Captain picked it out so just wear it for now, if you feel uncomfortable in it, we'll sort it out later." I slowly nodded and closed the door.

Elaine's POV

"Wow, the Captain has really gone overboard this time..." I muttered. "Overboard? What do you mean?" a voice behind me asked. Shoot, Elizabeth heard me. I turned around and laughed nervously. "Nothing you need to worry about..." Elizabeth raised an eyebrow at me but I quickly said, "Come on Elizabeth, let's get going." She nodded and we walked into the casino.

Time Skip (Cause I'm a lazy person~)

Elizabeth's POV

"Right, so I just have to take the drinks to the customers and that's it?" Elaine nodded. "The orders of each table or machine will be written on a clipboard that hangs by the counter at the bar area." I nodded and took a breath then immediately coughing because of the reek of alcohol and smoke in the casino. Elaine smiled sympathetically and patted me on the back as I continued to cough. "You'll get used to it." I nodded again and opened my mouth and closing it quickly because of the smoke. As we stepped into the employees' area, a person brushed past me. It was Zaneri. She didn't even glance at me as she hurried away. "What's Zaneri doing here?" I asked Elaine. She looked at me like it was obvious. "She works here."

"Oh..." Don't worry Elizabeth, she won't bother you... I thought as I grabbed the clipboard and started to grab the tray for the drinks to go on. This is painfully familiar with the situation I had before at my old job in California. Every time I think of "him" and anything related to the memories we share, my heart throbs and it's all I can do not to cry right there and then. As I was distracted by my thoughts, my feet had already carried me to table 9, where the order was supposed to go. Several men were sitting at the table, laughing and drinking. I gulped and plastered a smile on my face before walking up to the table and asking, "Who ordered a Stella Artois?" A man with light purple hair looked up. He smirked at me. "I did, hottie."

I cringed back a little but he grabbed me and pulled me towards him. "How 'bout you and I have a little fun tonight huh?" I squirmed, pushing him away from me. "Sir, I'm only here to - !" Before I finished, I felt a hand squeeze my thigh. I stepped back, trying to get away but again, he pulled me back towards him and grabbed my cheek. "Come on, babe." His breath reeked of alcohol and I closed my eyes tight as I began to panic. He pulled my face towards his. The hand on my thigh began to drift upwards. My cheeks feel wet. Vaguely, I thought to myself, am I crying? Suddenly, I heard a thud. I opened my eyes. The man that was groping me had fallen to the ground and a new person had shown up at the table. The first thing I noticed about this person is that he had wild blonde locks. While Elaine's blonde hair is a light golden yellow, this man's is more of a golden yellow. The man glared sternly at the man with light purple hair. He was surprisingly short for someone who is probably 18 years old or older. (Cause people less than 18 can't gamble and this is a casino) The man stood up and glared at the blonde man. "Who do you think you are!?" The blonde guy didn't reply to his question, only saying, "I'm sorry but you were sexually harassing this young lady here." He gestured to me. Purple hair dude glared right back. "How do you know she's not willing for me to do that?"

"She was clearly resisting." The blonde said calmly. "Hey, Elizabeth! Are you okay?" A voice from behind me shouted. I turned to see Elaine running towards me with a worried expression. Behind her, another person with light chestnut brown hair was chasing her also shouting. "Elaine! What did I say about you not coming in here without me!?" I collapsed on the ground and Elaine started shouting at the man who had groped me. The other person who was chasing Elaine was also yelling, but I can't hear them anymore. The only thing I could hear was my own rapid heartbeat and breathing. Then out of all the noise, I was aware that a quiet voice was asking me something. "Are you okay?"

I realized I had collapsed on the floor and someone had picked me up bridal style. I felt embarrassed as I looked up at this person's face. I gasped. It can't be... It's not...  All the memories I had kept inside me, all the pain that was slowly circling inside me burst out. It was "him". Him and his crystal clear emerald eyes. His soft touch. Him...
