Your teacher had final let you go. After a double period of Shakespeare study you thought you'd never leave that class room.
You and Zoe pack up your books a race out of the class room. On your way back to your lockers you bump into your tutorial teacher, Miss Linn.
"Hello ladies, oh I need to talk to you, you haven't let me know if you were attending the excursion to the geographic museum next Friday?"
Me and Zoe looked at each other and grinned.
"Sorry Miss Linn, I am working Friday night and won't make it back in time, so I can't go" I say keeping my face as solemn as possible.
"And my family is leaving for a trip that day." Said Zoe, not hiding her excited face as well.
"Well that is a shame. Have a good time on your trip, and we'll see you back again in the new year."
"Bye Miss Linn" we say running down the hall.
Packing your bags you both laugh in excitement. You had gotten away with it, and would be heading up to the city Friday morning to attend, a movie, film and animation exhibition and would be in the CBD all day. No school, no parents just you your best friend, and the whole world.
