Zemis , a goddess of war , is widely known across the world . She is deeply obeyed by her worshippers as well as feared , for she is not just a goddess of war , but is as well goddess of hatred and grief.
She became known when her wife , Xeenar , was brutally murdered by demons and Zemis was set on the warpath . She wrecked havoc on the Earth below her , disaster after disaster following her steps till her anger died down . After wards she sought to fix her mistakes, for she knew Xeenar , the goddess of forgiveness, would wish her to do so .
She pays great respects for Xeenar everyday, and her anger 8s quite short now . Her worshippers know to not anger the war goddess for they could possibly cause her to punish the humans for their mistakes .
Her worshippers portray Zemis as a tall , muscular woman with long auburn hair who wields an axe that has whip tassels at one end and a spear at the other . Only a god or goddess is able to wield her weapon - named Kanashimi - and even at that , it is quite heavy . Zemis is able to handle it with quite ease though , since she has slain many with Kanashimi . Zemis as well wears silver armor, though it is covered in dirt and blood . She states that it is a "remembrance"of the one she has slain .
Zemis wasn't always a goddess . Originally , she had been a human born into the war era , and her parents died quite young . She was then raised by soldiers into the army , thus causing the young woman to start training herself to be stronger and worthy to fight when she was old enough . Once she was able to join she quickly became known as a fierce warrior , and once she was the age of 21 , she became a general for her army . She was gifted Kanashimi by Hera , the original goddess of war shortly after .
Years later , the Forever Lasting War that Zemis fought in was ended by none other than her , but at a cost . She was fatally injured in the last battle , and while she bled out she fled through a nearby forest before collapsing at the gates of city ruins. Not long after she was found by her fellow soldiers , dead , and was buried there . A monument was then out underway for Zemis , and that statue still stands today in front of the city - named Zemis in honor of her .

"Mother , " Zemis breath was heavy and jagged as she stumbled through the undergrowth, armored arm clutching her bleeding stomach as she made her way . Her feet kept getting tangled or tripped over sticks and roots , yet she always caught herself before she hit the ground . She wasn't sure where she was going, but she was heading somewhere .
" Father , " Zemis coughed and covered her mouth , a few specks of blood splattering onto her armor . She was starting to get lightheaded and wasn't sure how much longer she could go . Eventually , she stumbled upon a city entrance , staring up at the ruins of the destroyed town . She remembered this place. Akricos was its name - though Zemis knew far well that it's name was forgotten .
"I have avenged you. " Zemis weakly smiled as she dropped onto one knee , another cough causing a warm liquid to dribble down her chin.
"Are you proud ?" Zemis choked on her breath a hand going to her throat as she fell over. Her body shook and trembled as she failed to breath - drowning in her own blood . Soon enough though her spasms stopped and her body grew limp , and all she could do as she watched the life fade from her eyes was smile .
She had finally avenged her family.
