DOVE STOOD OUTSIDE THE BURNT TANGERINE DOOR, uninvited but with a smidge of incertitude. she knocked gingerly once, but then quickly took a step back.

grayson swung the door open, his usual bare torso facing her. their eye contact is intrinsically unwavering and intense, both of them carrying a look that they don't have the muscle to say with their mouth, which is that they both missed each other immensely. the tension wouldn't dissolve away until one of them finally moves their lips.

"can i come in?" she whispers, her raven eyes blazing into his chestnut ones, the smouldering fire alit between them as their electric chemistry roars.

after a while of deep pondering, he nods slightly, inching the door a little wider for enough space for her to shuffle through. her coconut scented tresses waft straightforwardly into his nostrils, and he knows he has missed that oh so familiar smell.

going straight up the carpeted stairs to his room, he follows her unwillingly. he closes the door behind him, the tension held between them is dense and abundant, could be sliced with a strong knife.

a sigh tumbling out of her lips, she's the first to speak once again. "look, i don't know how long you're going to stay fucking mad at me but let me say this one thing. i'm sorry that you lost your job and the fact that you'll never teach again. i never had this intention of 'ruining your life'. but i want to sort this out. "

"i've always wanted to be teacher and now the whole ordeal between me and you has caused that to disappear. you're just a huge bundle of trouble."

she plays with her fingers, "i know and i'm sorry. i never wanted to cause as much trouble as i have to your life. i i just don't want this thing between us to end because you are the only person that i can talk to, and the only one that cares."

rustling a hand through his thick particles of hair, "i don't know what you want me to say, dove."

walking up to him with small steps, she glimpses down at his fingers, then grasps her dainty ones around each large, calloused hand of his. the warmth of her romantic touch sparks through his thin veins that stream around his body, her lingered stare shivering down the spine like windy ice. piercing into her curved lip, dove ascends their intertwined hands to her heart, the strange intimate feeling of the small organ thumping under the smooth skin of her chest causes him to almost inaudibly gasp. a gesture so soft, felt so incapable in graysons' presence.

"i want you to say that you'll give this another chance." she breathes, the warmth of their bodies so close.

"dove, you're so young, and i'm not right for you. you need someone that can care for you in the ways that i can't. there's nothing that "
