STAY WITH ME?

Chapter 4 - Are we in a group?

I watched as they chopped up the bitter. Glenn and Rick are going to go out in the hoard of bitters, or "walkers" as they call them, with only walker blood and guts covering their clothes.

I gave Glenn and Rick each one of my swords, just in case something goes wrong out there.

"Be careful." I told them, as they walked out the door. Once we closed the door, we exchanged a few looks of worry and then ran up the stairs of the roof.

When we got to the roof, I saw T-Dog sitting down talking to Ashley.

We all ran over to the edge of the roof to look for Glenn and Rick.

"There they are!" October said pointing at two figures that you could mistake as walkers any day.

It started to sprinkle. "Oh, no. They're not going to make it, the rain will wash off the walker blood." I said.

"They'll make it, its just a freak storm, it will pass." Morales said.

Then it became a down pour, we watched as they used my swords to fight for their life, while making their way to the construction site.

They climbed the fence, and got into one of the trucks.

"They're leaving us... Where are they going?" Andrea cried.

We then heard Glenn's voice on the radio. "Get your stuff and meet us at the drop off door that leads to the ally, don't open the door until you hear the horn honk."

We all got our bags, I gave Ashley the belt and boots I got them, and I followed Andrea down the stairs, Ashley and October close behind me.

When we got to where Glenn told us to go, we heard a car alarm, we all had confused looks.

"What's that?" Andrea asked.

About 3 minutes after it stopped we heard a car horn, we started opening the door.

The door to the back of the truck opened and we all climbed in. T-dog was almost to late, he jumped in as soon as we started to take off.

We slid the door closed and everyone was silent until T-dog spoke up.

"I dropped the damn key!" he said.

Then I realized what he was talking about, Merle wasn't in the truck.

"Where's Glenn?" I asked.

I then heard a car alarm, a red sports car pasted us, Glenn pasted us, he was laughing and fist pumping.

We all laughed.

I sat down between the two front seats.

"Rick, I have a question." I said

"What is it.. um.. Dawn?" he asked

"Where is your family?" I asked

"I... I don't know." he said looking down, and then back at the road.

"I know how you feel, I don't know where my big brother is." I said

After about 20 minutes of driving, we went up a little dirt road. Then everyone got out besides Rick.

"Hey, helicopter boy, come meet everyone!" Morales screamed "Shane, he's a cop just like you"

Rick got out of the truck, he looked like he was going to pass out, he then started running, with tears in his eyes, he was running to a boy that looked about my age, and a woman that looked like she was almost in her mid-Thirty's.
