"Where would you like to go Bethany?" The cop asked. "How bout with my big brother?" I asked. "Where are you goin Bri?" I asked. "I'm staying right here." He said. "Then so am I." I said. Rome, Bri, and I were stayin in Miami.
Years later...
I had left Miami a few months ago and now I was working in a prison. I went to the police academy in Miami and became a cop, yes a cop. My walkie went off and I pulled it, "Officer O'Conner, there's someone on line one for you." She said. "I'll be right there Kayla." I said. I unlocked the cell block I was in and walked out and locked it back. Calmly I walked down the hall and to the office. I picked up the phone and made everyone get out. "Annie. It's Bri. We need your help. I know your a cop but deep down your still the girl that you were when I took you and Rome from Barstow. I need your help." Bri said. "Help?" I asked. "Not while your at work. I'll call you when you're at your apartment in two hours." He said then the like went dead. "Kayla!" I yelled. "I'm taking off early it's a family emergency." I lied. I grabbed my backpack from my locker and walked to my car and drove home. I changed into pants, a tank top and combat boots. I slowly drifted to sleep. I was awoken by my phone ringing. "Hello?" I asked. "Hey little sister." Bri said. "What do you need my help with?" I asked. "There's a job, me and my buddy from LA are pulling with a few other people. It's in London. Could you fly out and be here tomorrow?" He asked. "I can." I said. He hung up after telling me the address and telling me there would be a car waiting for me. I went and booked an emergency flight to London and then packed my bags and called in to work. I had my bags and my backpack and my police badge on my hip and my gun. I put on my uniform so I could carry my gun and then left.
