For the rest of the day all I really did was lounge around and watch TV. It seemed like there was a never ending marathon of Criminal Minds on so that was my amusement of the day, which wasn't bad. I could sit and watch Shemar Moore all day long! Morning turned into night and before I knew it I had to be in bed so I could get up for work in the morning. I tucked myself in wearing my favorite pair of soffee shorts which were very berry hot pink and a tank top from Victoria's Secret's Pink line. It was black with 'Pink' on it written in silver sparkley's, rhinestone's, and sequins.  I set my alarm clock turned off the light and drifted to sleep. But I was awoken arounf five in the morning to the sound of shattering glass, I jumped out of bed and grabbed a can of pepper spray and my phone. I slowly walked out of my bedroom, a tear streaking down my face. I was then in my living room area and I saw someone standing in my dinning room. I stared at them, their back turned to me.

"Leave or I will call the cops." They turned around abruptly. Did I just do that?! They could kill me! I ran back to my room closed the door and locked it. I heard a pound on it and a man yell.

"Open the door!"

"Go away! I will call the police and I have pepper spray!" They banged on the door more. I unlocked.

"Jesus Kayla!." I thought to myself. "What are you doing?! They could just plunge a knife into me!" I Opened the door slightly. The mans hand flung it open. I fumbled for my pepper spray and shot him in the eye's.

"Dammit!" He grabbed his face and darted away. Running into walls and finall reaching the slidding glass door he broke to get in. I dialed 911.

"911 what's your emergency?" The operator answered.

"Uh uhm, erm a a man he just broke into my house." I stumbled over words.

"Ok help is on the way please stay on the line."

"Uh huh." I agreed in a shock.

"Did the man get away?" She asked.

"Yeah I uh shot him with pepper spray and he like ran out through the door he broke." I explained panic stricken.

"Ok, are injured?"

"No- oh ok they are here should I hang up?" I was a bit freaked out from what was going on.

"Please stay on the line until you are in contact with the officials." Her kind voice instructed.

"Ok." The police came in and questioned me. I told them everything that happened and within two hours they were gone. It was almost seven thirty and I had to leave at nine. Well my alarm clock will go off any minute, no time for more sleep. I thought as I went to the bathroom and turned on the shower. I brushed my teeth and stepped in. I walked into the hot water.

"Shit!" I screamed at how the water burned. I looked at the knob it was cranked up all the way on high. "You jackass!" I exclaimed. The person who broke in had turned the water up to high, which is pretty much skin peeling hot. I turned the water down and finished my shower. I did my hair and make up then got dressed and sat down with some cerial in front of the TV, I turned on the news.

"This just in!" The reporter said, then it flashed to a picture of my front door. "There has been a break in on eighth street in Manhattan." She finished her sentence. I changed the channel, although I was still a bit shaken from the scene I was over it. Why live in the past when in four days I will partying with Nathan Sykes. I put my dirty bowl in the dishwasher, threw on a pair of pumps and headed off to work. I was easily the youngest girl who worked the counter. I have my beauty license so I get to do people's make up in the beauty department of Macy's. It was something I loved doing so I was glad I got the job.
