It was one of those days, the kind that was doomed from the minute you opened your eyes that morning. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong, and you found yourself getting more and more frustrated as the day went on. So much so, you'd skated passed "miffed" straight into absolutely furious. Uncharacteristically for you, you'd bitten your tongue the whole day, feigning politeness to those around you who seemed hellbent in making you into their own, personal doormat. You smiled as they barked orders at you, took all their criticisms on board despite how wrong they were, and you just made sure to try to keep it as water off a duck's back, so to speak. You did that because you knew that tonight would be the night you'd get to see your man. He'd shower you with love, and kisses, and hopefully give you sweet, passionate sex to take your mind off it and let you know just how much he appreciated and loved you.

Cut to: you are sitting in his studio quietly and patiently, three hours after the agreed time because he was still working on a song that he hadn't finished yet, despite the deadline being boon. You just wanted his attention. You knew how much he loved his work, and you loved that about him. You never once disturbed him while he was working. In fact, when you could, you'd come in and bring him coffees, and snacks to nibble on to keep his energy up. You'd cook him his evening meal and warm it up if he ever decided to emerge from his man cave, or freeze it so he could have it another day. The amount of Tupperware boxes this man had of yours was astonishing. With every click of his mouse and every tut of his tongue, you could feel yourself turning into a ticking time bomb about to explode. And when you read that your clock had just announced the fourth hour of sitting there and doing nothing. So, this time you switched your phone off silent and waited for your swarm of notifications to ding constantly. You watched the back of his head. You heard his sigh as he heard your twentieth notification. You knew you shouldn't be provoking him like this, you knew it would anger him beyond belief, but you couldn't help yourself. You needed some form of release and an argument with your boyfriend seemed to be the only way you could get it.

"If you're going to sit there all evening, can you please silence your phone?" He asked. His voice was monotone and quite quiet, but you heard him loud and clear.

"If I had my way, Yoongi, I wouldn't be sitting on this couch at all." You replied, much more harshly than you intended. But you'd started it now, and there was no way you'd be able to stop yourself. "If I had my way, we'd be sat at home, curled up on the sofa with a takeout and a shitty movie. You'd be taking my bad day away and just letting me relax like I do with you every single time. But then that would require you taking time off your precious work and actually remembering you have a girlfriend. So the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim."

"You knew what you were signing up for when you decided to date me."

"Like that's a fucking excuse! I do everything for you, Yoongi. Everything. I settle for dates in the studio to make your life less complicated, that is if I'm even lucky enough to get a date with you. I eat takeout after takeout and lounge on the sofa with you. I overlook your crankiness, I bring you coffees, let you take your bad days out on me. You don't even have to tell me you've had a bad day anymore because I know it the second I look at you. I ask after of you, I take an interest. When was the last time you did that for me, Yoongi? Did you even notice how pissed off I am? Did you even care? Because from where I am, I can clearly see that you don't."

You hadn't even realised you'd stood up from your place on his sofa and was standing over him. He'd turned his chair to give you his full attention now, which was pretty late considering you were yelling at him. You could see it in his eyes that he was getting angry at you, but he was refusing to bite, staying as calm as ever. "I don't know what I can tell you. I have to stay here and work."
