It was a normal day in class. The teacher is discussing algebraic equations to the students. Sounds of groans and tsks from the students can be heard.
Aries tried his best to listen attentively to the teacher but his efforts ultimately failed as he couldn't concentrate while the student in front of him had put her hair down instead of tying it in a ponytail.
"Oi," Aries pulled at a lock of Libra's hair. "Why didn't you tie your hair like what you usually do?"
Annoyed, Libra stopped writing on her notebook and tried to pull her hair from Aries' grip. "That's none of your business. Let go!"
"It's not tidy. Tie it." Aries demanded.
"Like hell I will! I just wanted to try something different, so I'm letting it down today. Now if you please just let go of my hair."
The teacher cleared his throat and told the class to be silent while he continues writing on the chalkboard.
Aries took a quick waft of Libra's golden brown hair. New shampoo?
"Wh-what are you doing??"
"Nothing." Aries decided not to listen to the teacher's discussion. He got hooked on playing with Libra's hair.
Libra sighed and continued writing down notes. There was no way she was failing this class.
Aries began to tinker with her hair even more, twisting and turning some locks of hair, braiding it with some small rubber bands he owned. The thing with Aries is that he can be a bit of an amnesiac, always forgetting stuff. He needed those multi-colored rubber bands as his "forget-me-nots".
"What have you done with my hair, you jerk?"
"You wouldn't tie it when I told you, so I did it myself. Voíla." Aries let go of Libra's hair.
Libra touched the back of her head, feeling the grooves and curves done from the braids. She didn't like people toying with her hair but telling from the neat job Aries had done on her hair, she guessed it was okay.
"So do I get a thank you or.."
"Alright alright! Geez. It's.. not that bad."
"You look good with it." Aries said nonchalantly.
Libra blushed slightly. "Th-thanks."
"Mr. Aries. Stand up, please." Their teacher had caught them and got annoyed at them for not listening to his lecture.
Aries stood up. "Yes sir."
"I keep noticing you not participating well in my class. Do you have a problem with my teaching methods?"
"Not at all, sir."
"Alright. I'm a tad disappointed in you, Miss Libra. You're one of my top students and here you are, engaging with this runt of a boy."
Libra's expression softened. "I apologize, sir."
"You must set a good example for your classmates. As for you, Mr. Aries.. Solve for x." The teacher pointed at the equation on the board.
x + (3x - 2) = 18
Aries always looked like that type of person who doesn't give a damn about anything in class. But little do people know that he's actually a math fanatic.
"5, sir."
"That's.. that's correct. You may take your seat." The teacher, as well as the other students looked shocked.
Aries smirked as he sat back down.
The teacher cleared his throat again and went back to his discussion. Groans and tsks can yet still be heard from the students.
"That was really awesome," Libra whispered. "I like your confidence."
"I like you." Aries whispered back.
Libra blushed so hard, even Aries could tell from the back.
