Brandon Kroeger: He was born in Hanna Alberta, Canada, 1971. He was the first drummer for the band, but the only album he appeared on was Curb. He played drums in all the songs on the album, but he did not play on the song Curb. He was with Nickelback in 1995, and he left in 1997 because he wanted to spent time with friends and family. He also appeared in the music video for Fly which is Nickelback's first single.

Mitch Guindon: He played with the band from 1997-1998 while working at Ayotte Drums in Vancouver, which is also where Brandon Kroeger worked at the time. He does not appear on any Nickelback recordings, but did tour western Canada several times. He was in a music video for the song Fly from the album Curb. He was replaced by current drummer Ryan Vikedal in 1998 just prior to the recording of the album The State. From 1998 to 2007,he returned to his hometown on Vancouver Island and resumed his former career as an automotive technician with a specialty in high performance import cars

Ryan Vikedal: It has been said that he left the band, but he didn't leave, he wanted to stay. Nickelback fired him because in late 2004. Chad, and Mike said that Ryan Vikedal had to leave in December of 2004 because, "He can't stay with us anymore. His drums do not fit the tone for our new album." In early 2005 when Ryan Vikedal got back from the holiday break, he was told he was fired from the band. He said, "The band I once called a family, now isn't a family." Ryan Vikedal made three albums with them, The State, Leader of Men, and Silverside Up.
