It didn't immediately register in his brain that Yoongi had just kissed him on the lips. When it did, it felt like a jolt that jump-started his lips into working with Yoongi's. It was short and sweet, nothing too overwhelming for him to handle. Yoongi's lips were really soft and gentle with his as they moved.
Jimin's heart was beating a hundred miles an hour, and only Yoongi made him feel that way.
When they pulled away, maybe too soon for either of their likings, Jimin's eyes still remained closed for a few seconds, for this was his first time truly being kissed. He had never been kissed outside of sex, and it was a completely different feeling altogether. His stomach did backflips and he felt dizzy, but not in a bad way. It was as if he was drunk, and Yoongi had did all of it. Jimin brought his fingertips to brush against his own tingling lips, his eyes slowly opening to look at Yoongi.
Yoongi's face was hard to interpret.
"I-I'm sorry, Jimin. That was out of line, I shouldn't have done it." Yoongi closed his eyes tightly in anguish.
Jimin smiled fondly and brought his hand up to touch Yoongi's cheek, letting his thumb stroke a line across the older's smooth cheekbone. "It's okay. I liked it."
Yoongi's eyes shot open. "Really?"
Jimin nodded. For the first time in his entire miserable life, he felt jubilant. "Really."
Yoongi grinned and leaned in to hug Jimin around the waist. Jimin put his arms around the older's shoulders and let themselves fall backward onto the bed, their noses bumping lightly on the way down.
Jimin ran a hand through Yoongi's mint-colored hair gently, smiling when Yoongi closed his eyes to the touch.
"You make me happy." Jimin yawned, his eyelids fluttering.
Yoongi opened his eyes, laughing. "You make me happy too, Jimin."
Maybe it was too early. Maybe it wasn't the right decision, but Jimin made a pact with himself then and there to put all his effort into this thing he had with Yoongi. He wanted it more than anything.
At some point, both of them had closed their eyes, tired at day's end because of the events that had taken place that night. In each other's arms, they started to drift into a sound sleep.
Suddenly, Yoongi's eyes popped open. "The light's still on." He softly groaned to himself and detangled his torso from Jimin's, trudging over to the light switch sleepily. Flipping it, he rubbed his eyes and made his way back to the bed, pulling the blankets out from underneath Jimin's body and covering him with them. Gratefully, Yoongi returned back to his spot next to Jimin, laying his arm across the boy's waist.
It was the start of new beginnings.
----
It was almost two a.m. when Yoongi and Jimin had fallen asleep.
The rest of the gang, as you could call them, stayed up as long as they could watching movies, and not really saying anything, just basking in the company of friends.
Taehyung and Jungkook were the first to fall asleep, on the couch of course.
Taehyung's head was resting on Jungkook's shoulder, and Jungkook's head had fallen onto Taehyung's.
Namjoon and Jin were the second to go, talking most of the night about what lay ahead for them, and what was in the cards for Yoongi and Jimin. They worried that the demons of Jimin's past would come back to haunt him.
Most of all, they worried about the safety of their friends.
"I'd never go against Jimin, but you have to agree, now that he's around and here to stay, our lives have become a hell of a lot more dangerous. I'm worried for Jimin, but I'm also worried for the rest of us." Namjoon sighed wearily. It was dark in the lounge of the apartment and he could barely make out the outline of Jin's face. They spoke in quiet murmurs in order not to wake the two youngest on the couch.
"Yes, I know that, Joonie. But Jimin's a part of us now." Jin paused only to rest his head on Namjoon's shoulder. "It's probably not my place to tell you this but, the day Jimin went missing, Daehyun blackmailed him into going with him willingly. Joonie, He threatened Yoongi, Yoongi's family, us. He threatened us. Jimin chose to go with him in order to make sure Yoongi didn't suffer." Jin felt his heart swell with the teensiest bit of emotion, enough to make his eyes water momentarily.
Namjoon also felt his heart swell in reaction to the words his lover had just spoken. "Little did Jimin know, Yoongi tore himself apart when we couldn't find him. He blamed himself."
Jin stayed silent for a moment, mulling over Namjoon's words.
"I think-" Jin yawned tiredly, letting himself and Namjoon lower to the carpeted floor to lie down. "I think they'll be alright, Namjoon."
Namjoon pulled his lover closer to him, kissing Jin's forehead. "I hope so."
As the second pair to go, they fell asleep together on the floor, not really caring how uncomfortable it was, for they were together and all of their friends were under the same roof, safe with each other.
As for Hoseok?
After he had covered up the two couples in the lounge with warm blankets,
He took his single ass to bed.
