Abbu was totally helpless and I wanted to help him. He was adamant about not taking help of my aunt and did not even close inform her of our location or state. The forest was chilly and damp. We traveled a day to reach the neighboring kingdom of our enemy. It was evening and we walked among the shadows of the crowd. We had no option but to remain there disguised.
I had never been in such an open crowd before and it gave me thrilled.
Abbu carried my injured brother on his shoulder. My parents walked without a word or emotions. We had no idea where we were going. My stomach munched within., my legs dragged under my weight. We took shelter outside the door of a mosque. I was heavily drowsy and soon dozed of.
The din kissed my lids softly as I yawned and got up. Across a few distance I saw my Abbu and ammi were talking to a old man. By my side brother was still asleep but his wounds had been dressed. I hoped everything would get a bit better.
