Chapter 8

"The final winning couple is..... Mark and Minhee!!" They announced as everyone applauded them. Minhee was surprised, a sloppy dancer like her, and a super hard-working guy like Mark was put together and, won. Mark gave Minhee a huge hug. He squeezed her so tight she couldn't breath. She felt happy. But as she looked around, she saw girls gossiping, along as Jin. Jin didn't even smile at her. He walked pass her and Mark without saying anything.

"Wait. Just before all of you guus leave, there will be a school trip for a full week next week. Yes, you guys will be assigned partners. It will be a tough camp trip, but don't worry, it will be tons of fun!!" Their teacher announced happily. Everyone groaned and complained as tjey exited the stage.

"Don't worry anymore, I assigned you with partners that you'd be happy with. The papers are on that wall over there." She said as she pointed.

Jin ran over and pushed everyone out of the way. Then he saw the paper, and saw a name. The name of the person that almost ruined his life. The name, Minhee. Anyone but her. Out of all times NOW?! Yes to be honest, he did want her as a partner for painting and dancing. But onced what happened a while ago, he didn't want to stay together alone. With Minhee. He took a glance back at Minhee who was smiling at the people congradulating her. She looked soo pretty. Jin thought. She shook his head.

"Thank you Mark for working with me to great sucess." Minhee thanked Mark as she bowed. Mark chuckled.

"No need to be so formal." He smiled.

"I'll go check who i will be camping woth for the next week." Minhee said. Since the paper area was cleared, she walked up to it, and searched for her name. Minhee stopped smiling and her chest started to ache. A tear slid down her cheeck. Her face was emty with no emotions because she saw the name next to hers. She saw Jin's name.

"Is there something wrong?" EunJn asked. Eunjun was a good friend but Minhee still didn't want to tell her.

"Ani. Nothings wrong" Minhee walked forward. Without noticing anything, one of those jealous girls tripped Minhee.

Minhee quickly stood up and grabbed that girl's wrist and squeezed it tight. She was in a really bad mood.

"Aaaahhhhhh!!!" The girl screeched

"What does she think she's doing? Hurting people. Weirdo."

"First Jin now Mark? Just pick one!!!"

Minhee heard people talking about her. She let go of the girl's wrist. And tried to get up. But she found a fat bruise on her ankle. People around her laughed at her. And she saw Jin, walking up. Just seeing his face makes her want to cry.

But surprisingly Jin pushed all the people that laughed at her. Jin offered a hand at Minhee to help her get up. She happily took his hand and stood up carefully. Jin walked her to the infirmary. Does this sound familiar?

"I'll take it from here" Mark said.

Jin hesitated for a second but handed Minhe over. Once Mark took one of Minhee's arms, Jin grabbed the other arm and said...

"Ani. I'll do it." Jin said

"No i will. It will only be more awkward if you do it. Mark said. Jin slowly let go of Minhee's arm, and Mark helped Minhee walk to the infirmary.

Infirmary

Mark wrapped a small cusion around Minhee's ankle. It was really quiet and awkward.

"What happened between you and Jin?" Mark asked.

Minhee felt uncomfortable and her eyes started to tear up. She startrd hiccuping becaause she cried too much last time. Mark chuckled at how cute she was. He noticed she was about to cry so he said he didn't need an answer.

Walking To Dorm

"There you go. Can you work today. Andwae you can't work today." Mark started saying lots of random stuff as he walked Minhee home. "Make sure you pack your clothes for the trip okay?" Mark woried about her.

Minhee smiled when they got in front of her door. She bowed and thanked him twice for the infirmary and the walk home.

"Sorry, all I can do is thank you. Next time I'll treat you okay?" Minhee offered while she smiled. Mark nodded and walked away. Immediatly Minhee felt sad again and started tearing up. She noticed her lights were on, she saw.through the window. Minhee quickly wiped her tears and opened her door. Her eyes widend as she started crying again. This time, a happy cry. Because the person sitting there was Minhyuk. Her brother.

Minhee quietly walked towards her brother but hr woke up.

"Gosh you're finally home!!" He yelled madly.

M-Mianhe. When did you get home? Did you eat yet? Stay here I'll cook for you-" Minhee was really happy but

"Just shaddup. I'm not here for that. Lend me some money" He replied

Minhee scoffed.

"All these years I was waiting for you to come back home, and this is what you want?" Minhee felt a tear roll down her cheeck. She took out her wallet and threw $450 in cash in front of him.

"Is this enough?" She asked. Minhyuk smiled and got up. " Make sure you visit next time okay?" She desperitly asked.

Minhyuk didn't reply but he just walked outside and left.

Now it seems that everything is going wrong in Minhees life. After a good warm shower she changed and packed everything for the trip. She was gonna have to bring a tent since they're camping outdoors. But she couldn't carry all of them. So she couldn't bring any blankets. After that, she hopped into bed amd started thinking about Jin. Yes it made her cry, it made her cry herself to sleep.
