What I should have said...

1 - A Greeting

It might be stupid. A little. Tiny. Stupid. Thing.

The fact that I love Kacchan. My childhood friend who bullies me.

But the little. Tiny. Stupid. Thing. Is turning more absurd. It's turning into a confession.

My days at UA academy was coming to an end. The ceremony marked our conclusion at this wonderful school. It was time to move on to our careers. That also meant Kacchan and I will be separated...

"Congratulations Deku!" Ochako yelled running to greet me.
"Y-yes! Congratulations to you too!" I held her hand happily. Even though we've been together since we entered this school, I was still jittery from the fact that she was one of my first friends.

Ochako and I continued chattering away about her hero agency offer until she saw Iida a few metres away.
"Aah! I see Iida. I'll be going then! Good luck on your future!" She said as she pranced away.
What a cheerful person, I was super glad I had such a great friend like her. As I proceeded to find other classmates to congratulate on, I walked by the academy's orchard. And my, my!

The whole field covered with rosy pink petals that fell from the cherry blossom tree. It was the time of the year where the blossoms bloomed. They looked so dazzling as each petal slowly danced in the air like snow.

Amongst the pink clouds, I saw a figure of someone with ash blonde air but was too busy admiring to go greet them. I continued resting my eyes on the wonderful treasures of nature that God has blessed us on this day.

"Aah!!! The clean earthy air with a subtle floral fragrance really lifts my mood," I exclaimed as I absorbed the feelings in my surroundings. I even stood upon the wooden seats to reach up to the blossoms still sitting in the branches. How nice the aura was.

I glanced up and down from where I was. The pinkish petals, ebony bark and crimson eyes. Wait, crimson eyes?!! I glared back upon a pair of red eyes staring deeply at me. "Who is that?" I mumbled as I leaned in to part the willow-like branches to meet a glowing face with ash blonde spiky hair.

"What are you doing Deku?" The guy said just a few inches away from my face.
"gaH! Kacchan!" I yelped as I stepped back. Wrong move. There wasn't a platform so I immediately fell back.

"Ahh!" Poof. Something soft and smooth broke my landing. Opening my eyes I see Kacchan standing behind, holding my body. He seemed to have leapt past the garden bed to catch me. I quickly panicked as I realised what he did.
"K-K-Kacchan!!" I jumped off as I felt a my temperature rise. "T-t-thank you!" I replied turning away. Kacchan turned around and seemed to walk off with his hands cashed in his pockets. He stopped for a moment. And I heard a murmur escape his lips, "Good luck."

I took a minute to process his words. Then felt my cheeks grow hot. Kacchan has alway teased me since a child but ever since we entered UA, unbelievable things had happened. Kacchan begin to recognise the power I had... begin to acknowledge me as a rival... began to let me spectate him as an equal... I was really happy when he said those words of encouragement, excitedly I gathered my bag from the hall and went back home to prepare for my hero career.
