Harrykit stood up, eyes only opened the smallest they could be as he searched for his father in the darkness. His mother had decided that the journey to Ollivander's would be too hard for a young kit, and the risk of being caught was too much. But that did not stop his father, so the decision was that they would go at night and Lilypotter would not notice. Well, she wouldn't notice if they went fast enough.

"Harrykit!" Jamespotter yowled quietly, so that Harrykit could hear him, but Lilypotter would not wake up.

"Daddy!" Said Harrykit as he went running to his father's voice. Every step he took made him closer to getting a wand!

"Yes, Harrykit?" His father asked, and he turned left, where the voice was pointing. In all the excitement, Harrykit had forgotten that he was still a young kit, and he got worn out easily. As he ran as fast as his small leg's could take him, a giant tree root got in his way, and he went crashing down with a loud yowl.

"Harrykit?" His father asked, his voice growing louder. Harrykit let out a moan, and his father's face appeared in front of him. It wore a worried expression. "Harrykit, are you okay?" He asked again.

"...You...can...fix...it...." Harrykit groaned. "...With... Magic..."

"I don't want to. Your mother might find out!" Jamespotter replied, but soon after mumbled a few words and waved his wand. Harrykit got up. "Now, let's go!"

Harrykit started to walk, his legs feeling fine, unlike they had been only a few short moments ago.

"Harrykit?" He heard his father ask quietly. "You might meet someone today, an old friend of mine - no not Sirius," He added quickly as his son instantly brightened.

"Who?" Harrykit replied, looking into his father's eyes, the only thing he could see in them was fear.

"Someone named Remus. Remuslupin."

Harrykit had only eavesdropped on his parents once, so excitement filled his body enough to make his head explode.

"Daddy?" He started, tail waving.

"Yeah?"

"Is he a werewolf?" The moment he said it, Harrykit regretted it.

Jamespotter stared at his son, then lowered his voice until it was only a whisper. "Where did you hear that?" Harrykit closed his eyes. It was hard enough to eavesdrop, but even harder to admit it. Harrykit shook his head. "Answer me!" Demanded James.

"I... I heard Mum say something about 'the werewolf' and you say, "be quiet, Lily."

"It could have been worse," Whispered Jamespotter, and they began to walk again. Harrykit had never stepped on more thorns, and the sun was already starting to rise, filling the sky with a beautiful orange and pink sunrise.

It felt as if they had been walking the whole night when Lupin finally appeared. He had a messy pelt that was gray.

"Hello, Remus," Harrykit's father said.

"What are you doing?"

The moment he saw the eyes of Lupin, Harrykit ran. And ran. Something was happening.

"Wait! Harrykit!"

"It's You-Know-Who Daddy! You-Know-Who is coming!" Shouted Harrykit, still running.

"Harry... Come back!" Yowled Jamespotter, running. Tired, Harrykit collapsed on the ground, feeling only the energy to yell a few words, "Come on! Before You-Know-Who comes!" as everything went black.

----

A small mouse was running swiftly away from another cat. As Harrykit reached to catch the mouse, a voice echoed through the wall of the huge cave the surrounded him.

"Come back for us, Harry!"

"We will always be with you Harry!" And another one, this one cold and cruel.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Suddenly, the sun was beating down on a small den near a river. A kit, one who couldn't be more than a few sunrises old, stumbled next to his mother, Harrykit only knew that because of their eyes, green as the forests.

In less than a blink of an eye, the scene changed. Two cats were looking at each other, worried glances in their eyes. The tom looked like the kit he had seen before, but his eyes were different. The she cat was the same one from the old scene, and there was a kit next to them. The kit. The kit who he had seen before.

Again, the scene had changed. The kit, older and bigger, was playing near the rocks. His mother, the same she cat as before, was watching, then she called for him to come back. He refused and walked just a few steps closer. Before Harrykit knew it, the kit was falling in... He did nothing, just watched. And as the kit hit the water....

-------

"No!" A voice had screamed. "Not Harry!" Harrykit realized his mothers voice. She was diving in front of him, and an evil cackle was in front of her. There was a blast of green light, and his mother fell to the ground. The cat who had cast the spell was gone, just gone.

When his mother failed to get up, Harrykit let out a loud wail and then everything went black again.

Lilypotter was smiling at her son, but it was not real. That Harrykit was sure of. But it seemed so real, and Harrykit was happy. His father was there too, laughing. And so was he, but he seemed younger... different. A pond was in front of Harrykit, so he managed to tear his eyes away from his parents to examine his own reflection. What appeared in front of him was stunning, even scary... A scar was on his forehead, red, and shaped like.... it seemed to be shaped like the yellow things that struck from the sky... His scar was shaped like lightning!

With one last glance at his parents, Harrykit disappeared. This was not going on in his head, he knew, as he saw that he was being carried by a Twoleg. His scar was real, his parents were gone, and everything had changed. And Harrykit was confused. As the Twoleg put him down and.... transformed into a cat, Harrykit could not control his curiosity, and whispered to himself, "What happened?"
