spoon strummed the strings randomly on her ukelele, feeling bored. not even her ukelele could entertain her right now.  suddenly,  she heard a quiet ding coming from behind her. she didn't feel motivated at all to keep uselessly strumming her ukelele so she turned around and picked up her phone. it was a notification from discord, so she pressed onto the notification. spoon noticed that the message was from her good friend obscura.

obscura: hey spoon, i was wondering if you might want to join this lit tøp discord server i just joined. i'm hoping you might join it as well?

spoon: yeah, sounds cool, can i have a link?

obscura: sure thing, fren. [link here]

spoon: awesome, thanks.

spoon decided to join the discord server since she was bored anyway. maybe she could make some more friends there. spoon looked at her screen in awe. there appeared to be three general chats, and even an off-topic chat. gosh, there must be so many people here! she thought to herself. she scrolled down to look at all of the channels. oh cool, they're all something about tøp songs. these guys must be serious clikkies.

spoon clicked on the first chat in the main category called "hometown". the chat was going crazy! so many people were talking at once, but they seemed to be keeping the conversation alive. no wonder there are so many different chats, she thought to herself.

spoon was too scared to talk in hometown just yet, so she clicked onto the next chat called "slowtown". there were a decent amount of people there too, but not as many. they were having a more serious conversation which spoon found a little bit boring, so she clicked onto the next chat. this chat was called "neon-graveyard". nobody was really speaking at all, but there were a few odd messages every now and then and nothing was really going on, so spoon clicked out.

maybe i should just go for it and see what happens? spoon thought. she agreed with herself that she should speak in hometown, but what should she say? she didn't want to seem stupid in front of this huge amount of people. should i just go all out and call them my frens? she wondered. would the people she had never met before be offended by that? or would they just accept it and do other things?

she decided to just go for it.

trenchmas: no u

spoon: hey frens!

bhabie shark: hi spoon, are you new here?

japy: cool user, spoon

midge: @spoon howdy pardnER

trenchmas: lowkey never seen you here but hii

spoon: oops yeah i'm new i just joined. hi guys--

bottrix: lmao bendy toe noob, get an album role

spoon felt quite strange talking to so many people she hadn't met before, so she just stopped talking on discord and just read the messages for a while. after 4 minutes or so, she got bored so she turned her phone off and picked up her ukelele again. she started strumming randomly again, but picked up a beat and kept strumming and actually started a reasonable rhythm. maybe it was worth taking a risk, she thought to herself cheerfully. even if there are people like bottrix around sometimes...

// A/N: okay this took an hour to write and i have literally no idea why i'm writing this but i am. also i'm totally ruining the characters even if they only said one or two messages lmao i'm sorry //
