Chapter Nineteen

3rd Person P.O.V.

As Minji sat down, her phone alerted her of a new message.

"Dear Lee Minji,

We would like to request your assistance to help with a song for K/DA, featuring (G)I-Dle members; Jeon Soyeon and Cho Miyeon and American singers; Jaira Burns and Madison Beer. We have contacted YG Entertainment for your appearance.

Much thanks, League of Legends and the K/DA Team."

"That sounds cool!" Rosé read over her shoulder.

"Isn't K/DA a virtual k-pop girl group?" Minji asked.

Jisoo answered, "Yeah, its from this game, I think. League of Legends?"

"Yeah, that game!" Lisa joined the conversation, "You should totally do it!"

Minji smiled, "Sure, why not?"

After a conversation with YG, she left on a flight to LA to League Of Legends Headquarters. Whilst she was there, she met up with fellow k-pop idols and rookies, Soyeon and Miyeon.

"Soyeon, Miyeon." Minji bowed.

"Minji sunbaenim," The two bowed back.

"Hey, I'm Jaira!" A blue-haired girl smiled.

"The name's Madison." A brunette greeted happily.

"Nice to meet you, I'm JiJi!" Minji smiled, speaking in fluent English.

After the small conversation, the five went off to go make their characters and produce the song. Soyeon would voice Akali, a rapping girl with unruly purple hair that can do martial arts. Miyeon would voice Ahri, a blonde ninetails with an impeccable sense of style. Madison voiced Evelynn, a demanding diva with bright pink hair. Jaira voiced Kai'sa, a dancing queen with long purple hair, accompanied with two little buns on the top of her head. Minji would voice Rika, a dark blue long-haired fox with a long history of mischief.

"Alright, we got the girl dream team working!" A producer laughed, going to take the designs to someone.

"That was really fun!" Madison smiled.

"My girl is gonna kick ass!" Jaira laughed, everyone else soon joining in.

The four walked over to the recording rooms, warming up their voices before heading over to study and record their part. Eventually, they got the recording and singing.

StrayKidsLover: No way in hell, her singing sucks. I bet she's begging Soyeon, Miyeon, Madison and Jaira to teach her how to sing. Too bad, she was a hopeless case anyway!

"Damn, you have hella supportive people and some that are... questionable." Jaira averted her attention to her phone.

Minji shrugged, "You're always gonna have them."

The music video was soon released, and they five girls got to work practicing for the opening ceremony of 2018 Finals Championship. After strenuous practice and working with the choreographers, they were ready to perform. The stage was prepared, the crowd was waiting, the backup dancers were in place and the five girls were ready.

As they waited to go onstage, the opening animation played on the big screen, followed by excitement radiating from the crowd.

"You know who it is, coming 'round again. You want a dose of this, right now its K/DA, uh!" Jaira started off the song.

"I'm a goddess with a blade, sorichyeobwa nae ireum. Ijji motage, loud, loud, loud, loud." Minji started off her rap, popping onstage. "I could take you to the top, jeoldae meomchuji motae. Naega kkeutnaejuneun, bad gal, gal, gal."

Madison sang her part after she finished off her rap, "I'm a picture perfect face, with that wild in my veins. You can hear it in my growl, growl, growl, growl."

"So keep your eyes on me, now. Mueoseul bodeun johahal geoya." Miyeon walked her way onstage, joining the others onstage, "Daheul su eobseun level, nawa daegyeol wonhan neol hwagsinhae. We got it all in out hands now, so can you handle what we're all about? We're so tough, not scared to show you up. Can you feel the rush now?"

Jaira started off the chorus, "Ain't nobody bringing us!"

"Down, down, down, down, down, down. They could try, but we're gonna wear the crown." Everyone sang together.

Jaira sang her part again, "You could go another round!"

"Round, round, round, round, round, round. Wish you luck but you're not bringing us down." They all sang in unison.

Jaira began singing again, "We go hard, 'till we get it, get. We go hard. We so in it, in it, we POP/STARS! Only winning, winning now. Ain't nobody bringing us-"

Then everyone sang again, "Down, down, down, down."

"Hey! You ready for this? Let's go!" Madison hyped up for Soyeon's rap.

Soyeon set off, finally taking her time to shine and rap, "See, eonjedeunji nae moseub magic, dan han beone naega jabeo. Jeoldae gijuji anhji, uh! Pow, pow, nega mwol ara? (ara). Gyeondil su eobseo, wonhaedo. (haedo). Wonhaneun ge eolgure boyeo, I'm trouble and you're wanting it. I'm so cold (so cold). When I move that way, you gonna be so blown (so blown), I'm the realest in the game, uh!"

The five continued singing along, letting the holographic stars, Akali, Ahri, Kai'sa , Evelynn and Rika take centre stage, dancing. As the final words were sung and the girls all posed, a new branch of Minji's life opened up and her career had expanded by every word that was sung.
