What if World of Light was like Eight-Player Smash?

Amanda hates Strategy (Chapter 3)

Stage:

Green Hill Zone

Characters:

Pikachu (Dexter)

Link (Amanda)

Yoshi (Mitchel)

VS.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic speeds along the stage hitting both Pikachu and Yoshi while Link strikes the ground with his sword. A section of the stage crumbles and Link dodges out of the way of Sonic's spin-dash. Due to the Sonic spin-dashing over the gap instead of moving normally, he did not fall into it.

Amanda: Ugh! This is pointless! Why am I destroying the ground instead of just attacking him?

Dexter: Because Knave, this character is too fast for most of our attacks to connect! That's why we need to use underhanded tactics.

Mitchel: I agree with him. I've played some of the games from his home series. He really is as fast as they say he is.

Amanda: Do you know who you're talking to? The queen of button-mashing? That's me! We don't have to use "underhanded tactics" when I can just spam up A while you two hit him from the sides. It'll be like a three person prison!

Mitchel: I'm not sure that plan would work. Listen, I don't know much about how the game works, but I do know that you can't just outsmart the NPC's like that. Obviously the game developers would have foresaw this tactic and implemented something to counter it.

Amanda: Well then, what are we supposed to do? Just power through it and hope that we win?

Dexter: It pains me to admit it, but it seems the geezer is right. As rough as it may be, it looks like that is what the developers had intended.

Amanda: Fine, but don't expect me to enjoy it.

Link continues to knock out the stage pieces while Pikachu and Yoshi distract Sonic. Pikachu Side B's towards Link, and Yoshi uses his recovery to hover over Sonic and move towards Link as well. Sonic, forced to move to the group, runs over to them and falls into the pit. Pikachu uses his taunt before the screen cuts to the rewards.

Amanda: Well, at least Pikachu is being cute. Doesn't make up for how terrible this stage is however.

Dexter: You think that's cute? Check out this Sonichu comic I found the other day.

Mitchel: Ooh! Really? Send me a copy too, please?

Amanda, Dexter, and Mitchel bond over Sonic carrying Pikachu in his arms, running across the various green hills while the sun sets. The comic title is "Just hitched" by SonichuFan16, a long time Comic creator who as of this chapter has just finished his Sonichu Fanfiction, using the final chapter as a base for the comic the group is now reading. Spoilers: This is not the last Comic he is going to make, not by a long shot.

Okay, I think I need to give an explanation towards Dexter's sudden change of attitude towards Amanda. (While you can figure this out, it is subtext and subtext can be misinterpreted.) In the first chapter Dexter was sucking up to Amanda because he thought he had a chance with her, but when that proved to be impossible he went back to treating her like everyone else.
