Tierney's POV

I woke up to the sound of voices coming from outside my door. I reached over to the my end table to check the time on my phone.

12:21 p.m.

Dawm, I slept in late today.

"Go wake her up already. " I hear a voice say.

"Nah, last time I woke her up I got a slap in the face. " Another says.

At this I laugh, because it was true, I got cranky when Im woken up unnecessarily. I hear my door open and stiffen a little. Did they hear me? I still dont know who 'they' are, but I know they're guys.

"Yo Tierney get the hell up, I heard the laugh already."

I mentally slap myself as I feel my bed dip due to the persons' weight. I look up and my eyes meet Spencer's, my best friend since freshman year.

I sit up on my elbows to get a better look at him. I take in his features, deep green eyes, and his dirty blonde hair falling over them, and I cant believe this guy is one of my bestest friends, he was like a sex god, and he knew it, that cocky bastard. I watch as he looks me over as well. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. What was he looking at?

"Eh what are you looking at," I finally manage to get out.

"Well, what do you want me to call you? " he retorts, bringing his lips into a smirk. I hated when he did that, and he knew it, which made me hate it more. I try to think of something witty to say back when I hear someone clear their throat at the door.

"Hope I wasnt interrupting anything" and in walks Jace, taking a seat at my computer desk in the corner of my room.

Jace and Spencer were brothers, no not really, but they were dawm close to it, and us three have been like the three musketeers since we started highschool.

I take my eyes off of Spencer and direct them to Jace, who is now smiling from ear to ear. What the hell was wrong with these guys so early in the morning? And now that my mind is on the subject, why are they in my house? And who let them in? I had so many questions, and I think he knew because he took a deep breath and began to explain.

"Wondering why we're here? I bet.  " Jace is first to break the silence. He leans forward and rest his elbows on his knees. I nod my head and he continues. "Well first off we came in through the back cause if your mom saw us she might have asked why we're here, and its best if she doesnt know... " As he talks I take the time to look at him and take in his features like I did Spencer's. While Spencer has short dirty blonde hair, Jace has longer, jet black hair, that was sexy as hell might I add. And he usually kept it in a pony, but today he had it thrown into a beanie. My eyes latch on to his as I take in his dark blue orbs, and oh my god, I sound like a fangirl. I shake my head to clear my thoughts and look back up to see him staring at me. He frowns a little. "Were you listening to me at all? " he asks and I cant help but laugh at the look on his face. Its a mix between annoyed and amused.

"No sorry, what did you say?,  " I say in my sweetest voice ever, and bat my eyelashes. I hear Spencer chuckle and I think about throwing my pillow at him, but Jace's words catch my attention. He shakes his head and looks at me.

"We're partyin' tonight," is all he says. I take in his words, and I can feel my face hold a weird expression. What party? He groans and rubs his hands down his face.

"This is why you listen when people are talking to you," I hear Spencer say and this time I dont hesitate. I pick up my pillow and I lauch it at his face, but of course he catches it with ease and laughs at my failure. I just ignore him for the moment and turn back to Jace.

"Its some kind of back to school thing this guy is throwing, so I heard, but who knows it might be fun."

"Who's party? " I ask, and he just shrugs. Yea thats Jace for you. Just say the word 'party' and he's there no questions asked "Then how do you know about it in the first place? "

"You see, my dear dear Tierney when youre a hardcore partier, like myself, you know about all the parties." I snort at this and he fakes hurt. "Aww come on Tie that hurts, you know I put in a lot of effort to find out about these things." This is why I laughed in the first place. None of us were hardcore partiers. I mean sure we would go out and drink like any normal teenager would, but not always enough to get extremely drunk. Well, at least we tried. When we went to parties Spencer wasted no time getting drunk and start making out with some random girl. While Jace and I would just sip on a drink or five and dance our asses off. Ok, so maybe I lied about us not getting drunk, we all got pretty wasted, but we knew when to stop. Yea we always had fun so it didnt matter. As I come out of my thoughts with a smile I see Jay and Spence looking at me.

"So you in or out? " Spencer asks, and I look between him and Jace, both waiting for my answer.

"In. "

"Alrighty then, Ill text you the details later." Jay said before he and Spence left. It wasnt like it was a hard decision to make, I hadnt been to a party since like a week ago. Ok, so it wasnt that long ago, but whatever. School's tommorrow and I think its the perfect time to party. Who the fuck turns down a party anyway. So, later tonight I'd be accompanying Jay and Spence to some stranger's 'Back to School' party. For the record I wasn't complaining about going out to party, just the fact that it was on a Sunday, and I'd have to sneak out. Yea my mom is kind of stuck up about lettimg me out on school nights, but I didnt really care. Not like I was the perfect daughter anyway. I mean I wasnt some goody-twoshoe who thinks cursing is a crime, I just like to have fun. I mean…

BANG

I hear something fall outside my door. I get off my bed and close the short distance between me and my door before I open it. When I do, Im met with Jace's back. I know its his because its broad and he's hunched over a bit. I tap his back and he turns around.

"Forget something?" I ask as he picks his phone up off the floor. I guess thats what made the sound.

Before he answers, he awkwardly scratches the back of his neck, its so dawn cute when guys do that. "Uh kinda," he starts, but his pause is kind of long so I speak up.

"Well what did you forget?"

"Uhm, I kinda wanted to ask you something" he was acting weird all of a sudden and it was getting awkward. I tried to avoid awkward situations.

"Well, do you mind asking already, cause I kinda still have to come up with an escape plan and find an outfit for tonight." He makes a small smile and takes a step back.

"Uh, in that case it can wait, I'll ask you later." he says and then turning around he mumbles something I cant decipher, and goes down the stairs. When he's out of sight, I close my door and proceed to think about what to do about tonight. Jace's question was on my mind but I didnt think about it too much. With my mind off the topic I go back to picking out an outfit for tonight. Since it was still warm outside I settled for a black miniskirt, a yellow tank top and my purple blazer. I settled on wearing my all black hightop converses with my fishnet tights so Id be comfortable. And with that I was done with my outfit. Now for the hard part, coming up with an excuse to leave the house. I set my outfit on my bed and head downstairs where I hear my mom talking to someone on the phone. When she see's me, she says her goodbyes and hangs up.

"Hey sweety, need something?" she says in her oh so sweet voice, and it hurts a little knowing Im about to lie to her, but Id be putting in some truth so it wasnt that bad.

"Hey mom!" I try to sound like my normal sweet self. "So theres this 'back to school' thing that Spencer is throwing and he really wants me to go, so could I ?" I look at her face with longing eyes as she thinks about her answer.

"Okay"

"Okay?" Ok that was almost too easy. "Are you serious? " I couldnt believe she said yes, this was too easy…

"On one condition. "

Here we go.
