Meaning pt.1

Third POV

   Tom walked down the block to a certain little diner. A usual hangout spot for the three friends, the place where Matt would propose to Edd.  Tom decided tonight would be a time off joy, because he would announced that he was pregnant. He hid it very well, but when can you ever keep a secret from you best friends, beet friends that you have been through everything together.

  To walked into the small diner, only to be immediately directed to a reserved booth. Ever since they started coming to this place, the owner treats us like her sons. She makes sure we have the same booth every time. To be honest, I don't mind, I call her mom time from time, it's just that she was the closest thing to a parent figure I had these days.

    I sit down in the booth, quick to cover the pain I feel because of my baby. Edd greets me with an angelic smile, while Matt just waves with a nervous one.

Timeskip

   After dinner, dessert is brought out along with a group of amazing singers. They started to sing Edd’s favorite song, while the waiter put down the dessert. Edd looked over time Matt with a huge grin, today was their anniversary. The Matt got up, stood in front of Edd, and got down on one knee. Edd gasped in surprise, Matt pulled out the ring and grabbed Edd’s hand. With love in his eyes Matt began.

“ Edd, we have literally been through it all together. Through the darkest and brightest times. No matter what, no matter how happy or sad the days were, you outshined everything. You were literally my light, my life in the points of my life where I fell the most. I loved you before i found out you were my mate. I will forever love you, till the end of time. I might be a little much to handle, but I'm asking you the most important question in my life. Edd Gould, will you marry me, I promise to treat you like royalty and aid to your every whim, I promise to fill your life so much with joy that you'll never want to go back to a time without me, I Matthew Harvest, devote my entire life to you whether you say yes or no. So will you do me the honours of hearing what I've waited five years for?”

   By this time, Edd was already bawling. Matt grew skittish, fearing Edd would reject him. Until a big smile covered Edd’s face and uttering the life changing words, “ Hell fucking yes!!” Matt slowly put the million pound ring on Edd’s finger before practically crushing him in a hug and peppering his face with kisses. Everyone around clapped loudly and at this moment Tom thought to himself ‘I'll let them have their moment, they don't need to know for a while, right?’ And with that they enjoyed their night and parted ways, Edd and Matt heading to the apartment while Tom walks to an unknown destination. But little did he know, a certain pair of eyes watched his every move.

Tom's POV

   I made my way to the doctor's office downtown. I was to receive an ultrasound and an estimate of birth today. I just hope all goes well,  I already know werewolf pregnancies are shorter than normal, but I'm unsure if mine will be even shorter due to me being a male. I decided not to announce my pregnancy to night, so I guess next month would be my best bet. I plan on leaving the country for the birth. I want my baby to at least be connected to their father in a way, so I want them to be born in Norway.

  After about five minutes of contemplating my life, I arrive at the doctor's office. I walk in to see a very petite woman, just a little smaller than me. I walk right up to her with a smile, “appointment for Thomas Ridgewell.” She looks through the computer on her desk and smiled back up to me, “ The doctor will be right with you, please wait over there,” She announced pointing to a row of chairs. I thank her and sit down, after two minutes a pull out my phone and plan a way to announce I'm pregnant to Edd and Matt.

   After ten more minutes twice men and a woman step out of a small office. The doctor sends them off with a smile proclaiming the appointment in the next month. After they leave, the doctor turns around to face me beckoning me to follow him inside. I follow inside and sit on the counter.

“So Thomas, what can I help you with?”

“Well, I'm pregnant and my doctor is on vacation, so he told me to come here for an ultrasound and an estimate of birth.”

“Alright then, please lay down on your back while I get the equipment.” He says this as he leaves, I lay down and take a deep breath, I hope the baby is ok. He comes back in with a machine.

“ Ok Thomas, I need you to be calm and lift your shirt. I'm only going to put some gel on your stomach and use this wand to see your baby or babies.” That's when I dawns on me, I could be having more than one. Dazed by the possibilities I do as he says and lifted my shirt. He preps my stomach with a smile, he sets up the machine, I watch him intently as he put the wand on my stomach with little pressure. I start to hear a small thumping sound, my head whips to the monitor, tears of joy spill out of my eyes with no stopping. The doctor keeps on roaming my stomach, while I stare at the screen displaying a small figure. He finally speaks in tow breaking my small moment of pure joy.

“As you can see, you have one child who seems to be very healthy. Being a werewolf your pregnancy will be shorter, I believe your whole pregnancy will be a total of five months. Since you are one month along, you baby is at the growth of one and a half months. I will be able to tell the gender next month. Would you like to schedule for an appointment?”

I couldn't stop the tears as I nod my head in a yes motion. I was so happy, my baby is so beautiful, I love you already little bean. I can't wait until I can tell Edd and Matt. I schedule my appointment and leave the office with high hopes. I finally found the meaning if my life. Not realizing I was being watched from afar.
