Because I wrote Lessons so long ago, it's hard for me to remember specific details about characters and their context. I also dislike some of the characteristics and history that I gave to characters in the prequel, so I'm just going to make changes without announcing them.
If you notice any inconsistencies, just ignore it. Go along with what's in this book, and trust that I made the changes for a specific reason.
