taehyung pushed open the door to the cozy cafe and saw jimin. he looked the same; that soft looking eyes, that straight posture of his from years of dance and how he'd have trouble holding his phone because of his fingers, like how he had just dropped his phone clumsily.

he approached the male slowly, knowing full well that he's gonna have to explain everything to this poor boy who got his heart broken by him. "hey chim." the red head greeted him, taking a seat in front of him. "hey. what's up?" jimin pushed the cup of latte towards him, making taehyung's eyes lit up. he quickly took a sip of the green tea latte before placing it back down hastily.
taehyung felt his heart pumping like mad. he was nervous. he didn't want to do jimin wrong like that in the first place. but he knows he should tell the carrot boy what happened for him to move on. he gulped, took a breath, shut his eyes, bowed.

"i just wanna tell you that.. i'm really sorry.

"i'm sorry for causing you grief and worry. i knew what we had was irreplaceable and unique. i felt bad to break up with you all of the sudden. my.. my family made me do it.

"remember how i wouldn't let you meet my mom? though you kept pestering, i never let you meet my mom. she is a kind, brave woman. i love her with all my life. but she couldn't stand me being gay. i was under so much pressure. i felt as if i did something wrong when i was dating you. but alas, she found out."

taehyung's voice cracked a little as he felt all the memories rushing back to him. stay strong, you must continue the story. taehyung told himself, taking a deep breath in.

"she saw my lock screen. it was us kissing. man, she was fucking mad. she slapped me, told me to break up with you. or else i wouldn't be called her son. i felt ... so broken you know? i didn't know what to do. but she was threatening me.

"i hope you forgave me, but i broke up with you on that day. i wanted to tell you so bad, but i couldn't bring myself to. i'm so sorry for making you doubt yourself. but please, forget about what you and i had. let's be friends, and have fun together. i regret losing you as a friend altogether. i shouldn't—"

"tae, shut the fuck up. i forgive you. now i finally know the truth.. thank you for telling me. don't cry anymore alright?" jimin gently patted taehyung's hand and passed him some tissue.

the red head had been so distracted with his talking that he didn't realise that he was crying. "god jimin you have no idea how much i've missed you." taehyung couldn't help himself but to give the man a big bear hug. "oh god tae i miss you too.." jimin was taken aback but nonetheless, he smiled and gave him back a hug.

after a few moments of sniffling and hugging, they let go of each other. "aight, so how did you get my number?" jimin asked, kinda curious as to how taehyung got his number.

"yoongi gave it to me.." taehyung confessed, looking away shyly. "ugh don't be like this, this is too sappy for me." jimin shuddered at taehyung's reaction and looked away.

"ah right. now that we patched up, perhaps you wanna consider other men?" taehyung suggested, wiggling his eyebrows. "o-other men? like who?" jimin blushed a little, obviously having a guy in mind already.

"well, how about jeon jungkook?"

jimin looked down, cheeks heating up and heart beating quickly.

"well... i don't mind."
