Alexander hopped off his new bus onto the new sidewalk of his new school. He glanced around at everyone that had there clicks. All the eight graders stood up in the front on the building. Sixth graders sat inside in the cafeteria. Seventh grade stood out in a court yard behind the front. It had a huge tree in the middle. Alexander dashed toward the middle when he was stopped by an older girl.

"Excuse me??" The girl said. She wore a pretty pink ish red shirt with a darker skirt and black boots. Her hair was also tied back.

"Y-Yes..." Alex stammered.

"Your Alexander, correct? My sister said you're new. She also said you have no friends. Well, you can hang with me or you can chill with her and her friends." The girl said and realized she forgot to say her own name. "My name is Angelica. My sisters are Eliza and Peggy. Peggy's in Sixth so you may see her in the hallway. She tends to wear yellow. Eliza wears a lot of blue and has black hair." Ale gifs waved good bye as she was called to hang with her friends. Alex has taken in all the info and shook it off before dashing back to the court yard.

The court yard was full of loud noisy seventh graders. Some of them taking selfies, others making TikToks. But some stool out more than others.

Thomas Jefferson.

For starters, he had a large group of people near him. They surrounded him. He seemed popular. Alex didn't really care, though, he noticed that Thomas liked to wear magenta but that was none of his business.

Eliza Schuyler.

She wore bright blue colors. She also was friends with most of the girls in her grade level. She also was very rich.

John Laurens.

He was like a ray of sunshine. He was smiling, though he was alone at the moment. Clearly scrolling through his social media pages.

Marquis de Lafayette and Hercules Mulligan.

Laff and Herc were, currently, climbing a tree. Clearly they were either stupid, insane, or trouble... or maybe all three.

Charles Lee.

Charles, as far as Alex could tell, was gripping onto a kid named Samuel Seabury. Trying to show the girls that Samuel was his.

Alexander was just about to sit a spot in the crowd to wait but the bell already rang and kids started bolting it in. A lot of people already had friends and friend groups. Poor Alex joined mid school year and had no friends.

Once in building, Alexander shuffled his way to class. He didn't wanna be late for his first class. GT Science. Alex shoved his stuff in his locker and slid into class. First one. Alex found his seat and sat down. This we're going great till the other students made their way in. John was first in, he sat next to Alex now. John sat beside Alex and greeted him with a warm smile. Next in was Thomas and his buddy James. They sat across the room from Alex and John. More students filed in. Then the ever so beautiful Eliza Schuyler walked in and sat down with the rest of the students. Homeroom was filled with talking and laughing and glares from Thomas. John didn't talk a lot, maybe he didn't have many friends either? Alex tapped John shoulder and John shot up to see who it was, probably expecting someone else but noticed it was Alexander.

"Um. Hi. I'm Alexander Hamilton. And you are?" Alex smiled a little.

"John Laurens. Nice to meet you Alexander! Do you have any friends? I headed your new." John looked right into Alex's eyes.

"I do not actually.." Alex felt his cheeks get a little red.

"Well. I'm sure you can hang out with me and some of my buddies!" John smiled.

Alex smiled back. The teacher grabbed everyone's attention with attendance. Alexander sat up straighter and smiled. Everything was going well till something hit him in the back of the head. Alex grabbed what seemed to be crumbled up paper and undid it so he could read it.

'Go back to where you belong s-'

Before he could finish, John snatched it out of his hands and growled a little. John glanced over at Alex.

"Don't listen to Thomas. He's mean. I'm gonna have to give this to the teacher." John started up and Alex just nodded.

John skipped up to the front of the class, some of the other students laughed at him for doing so. Once up there he cleared his throat.

"Mr. Franklin? I wanted to report to you that Thomas Jefferson through this at Alexander Hamilton." John gave Mr. Franklin the paper.

Mr. Franklin started to read the paper and went wide eyed.

"THOMAS JEFFERSON! LUNCH DETENTION!!" He yelled over at Thomas whom slunk into his seat.

John came to sit down at his seat and glanced over at Jefferson who was glaring.

"You. Me. Outside. 3:10 pm. Today. Got it?"

John shivered and nodded ever so slightly. Oh lord what had he gotten himself into.
