Peak Into the Future

((the title is pretty self explanatory. meaning this chapter is literally a peak into the future))

Jenny's P.O.V

"Ms. Carter the doctor is ready for you now"

Oh my goodness, this is it. I've been praying night and day in hopes GOD can finally make our wish come true. I wasn't into the whole religion thing, but I was raised a Christian so a little praying wouldn't hurt- plus it calmed me down for a bit. Dear God, please make this visit a good one. Evan, my fiancé, couldn't make it because something came up at the Law Firm so he couldn't bail; His boss, Tate, is a total dick, I hate him.

The nurse directs me to the room where my doctor is, ROOM 10, ew it had the smell of dirty diapers and old people.

"Hello, Jenny- is it?" the lady in a white coat asks.

"Yes Ma'am, Jenny Carter" I smile nervously, I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest and run away.

"How are you feeling? Please sit, I'm Doctor Langdon, but you can call me Violet if you please."

"I'm doing fine, just a little nervous"

"Ahh, taking pregnancy tests isn't an easy task- it's very nerve-wrecking, but it's ok Ms. Carter, you'll be fine." I started to calm down a bit, she was really kind, but she's a Doctor she says that to all her patients.

"Ok Jenny, when was your last menstrual cycle? your last period?"

"A month and 4 days" I keep track on an ovulation app on my phone.

"Well it is common to miss one cycle, maybe even two, but just to be correct lets get on with test, shall we?" She handed me a cup with my name on it and an alcohol pad ; she directed me to the Ladies and said to meet her in Room 4.

It was hot that day so it was hard to Pee; I was probably dehydrated. Thankfully I managed to get the amount of urine needed. I quickly washed my hands and walked to Rm. 4-- where I waited for the results.

"Ms. Carter....Ms. Carter....Ms. Carter!!" I quickly jolted from my seat- I must've fallen asleep

"Sorry, how long was I asleep?" I asked the nurse

"About an hour, sorry to keep you waiting, Doctor Langdon will be with you any second now, my best of luck to you Ms. Carter"

"Thank you" I responded- still half asleep

In seconds the Doctor walked in with the results.

"Congratulations, You're 5 weeks pregnant!!!"

I couldn't believe it!?!! Was I dreaming? I pinched my right arm for reassurance it was real life. I felt the sting from the pinch, I dropped to the floor in tears, I couldn't wait to go home and tell Evan the wonderful news. I had an appointment in two weeks to check on the baby- our baby! After 11 months of trying, we are finally going to become parents! I ran out the Clinic and sat in my car for a good hour thinking of a clever way to surprise Evan. I got the idea of making Baby ribs, Baby carrots, and Mashed potatoes. I rushed over to the market because time was wasting.

I was half way done with making dinner, but my phone kept buzzing. Unfortunately it wasn't Evan, only my older sister Zoe.

"Jenny"

"Jenny!¡!"

"Where the helk are you??"

"Call me -Zoe x"

I would call, but there was no time to waste, I had to finish with dinner because Evan should be getting here any second.

I take the steamed veggies and put them in a large bowl, same with the Mashed potatoes.

"DING" oh good the ribs are finally ready. As I add the BBQ sauce, the door opens

"Hey Babe!" Evan says with such excitement on his face

"Hey Hon, dinner's almost ready, be a dear and light the candles on the tables, please? thank you" I didn't want him to lift a muscle because he looked worn out, but my hands were full.

Evan's P.O.V

It's been a long day at the firm, I can't wait to get home to my beautiful fiancé. God, I love her so much. I feel like such an ass for not going with her to the clinic; I shouldn't have an excuse, but my stupid fucking Boss, Tate, ugh I hate him, I hate working at the Langdon Firm, but I had to support Jenny and I somehow.

As I get inside the house I get an instant wiff of heaven, yum.

"Hey Babe!" I say with a huge smile on my face, HOME SWEET HOME.

"Hey Hon, dinner's almost ready, be a dear and light the candles on the table, please? thank you" I knew she was tired, I could see it in her eyes. it was the least I could do since she was already putting the plates with food on the table.

Jenny's P.O.V

"Ok babe, sit down so we can eat"

"How was the Doctors? what'd they say?" Evan asked as he took a bite from the BBQ ribs

"Take a guess, I tried to incorporate the results with dinner, do you get me?" I asked, hopefully not confusing him too much.

Evan's P.O.V

She incorporated it with dinner? Mhmm what a silly girl, god I love her so much. Well let's see, BABY backribs, BABY carrots and mashed potatoes. . Mhmm.. wait BABY???!! HOLY SHIT, COULD IT BE??!!

"Y- YO- W- WE- We're pregnant? ??!" Before she responded I covered my face with my hands and cried my eyes out, I can't believe it! Finally! !

Jenny's P.O.V

This boy is thinking WAY TOO HARD. It's so easy!-- ohhp I think he got it haha his face lit up like a Christmas tree, it was so cute, he's so cute, jesus h. christ!!

"Y- YO- W- WE- We're pregnant? ??!" Before I said a word, he was already crying into his hands. I get up from my seat, sit next to him and hold him as tight as I possibly could.. without killing him of course.

"I can't believe it either! one thing is for sure, we are going to be the best parents in the history of best parents, I love you so much. I'm so thankful I have you in my life, you've brought the better out of me, as cheesy as it is-we were written in the stars to be together forever"

"I Love you so much Jennifer Anne Carter, You're so beautiful, you're mine and im yours forever and always"

..Time goes by quickly when you spend it with someone you love. It feels like I met Evan Peters Yesterday, but truth be told we met two years ago.
