Episode 4: Part Two

Gageel held himself back from screaming and hitting the trees he passed. He felt annoyed of the fact that the captor he was currently chasing had disappeared again for the hundredth time. He was almost sure that the captor had realized that he was being chased, even though Gageel tried so hard to keep himself to the dark. Pantherlily was sure better than him at that, concerning the fact that Gageel hasn't so much as laid a glance on him ever since the chase started.

And there was no sign of Gray and Laxus; the group mates chosen by BunnyGirl (Lucy) for him -he wasn't really sure how they complimented each other but he couldn't really argue with her. And he was sure that an hour has passed since Rogue and Zeref had left him.

He wasn't one to admit stuff, but he was really confused about how this was meant to work. Lucy had tried her best to explain but Gageel hadn't really understood. All he knew was that Lucy had picked a group leader for each group and had said that if it happened that there were different captors for them to chase, and their group leader was chasing one, they should leave theirs and find their leader and chase with him that captor.

And that made absolutely no sense to Gageel.

He found it incredibly stupid -though he wouldn't dare to voice it out- that they should be groups to chase a captor. If there was enough captors for all of them, why couldn't they chase them one-on-one? And considering they didn't know how many captors there were, that made chasing one-on-one a better choice. Didn't Lucy know this? Or did she cancel out the possibility?

Gageel didn't know and he certainly didn't care. Strategizing wasn't his fort.

And why should he even have to leave this guy he was chasing to follow Laxus, his group leader? He certainly wasn't going to follow that blonde idiot and Gageel was capable of taking this captor down by himself. He was the iron dragon slayer for Kami's sake! He would certainly defeat this captor without batting an eye and show them -show her- that he wasn't the iron dragon slayer for nothing.

Gageel could make out the outline of the captor and he felt a surge of relief. He had feared that the boy, from what he could make put from his vague features, had found a way to change routes and thereby escaped. Gageel was just about to launch an attack on the boy before he felt a cold hard-like structure hit the back of his head. He turned around to meet the glaring face of Gray.

"What the hell are you doing, you idiot? You're meant to be with Laxus right now. That was what Luce said." Gray whispered with anger evident in his voice. Gageel glared at the ice-make mage, clearly angry with the guy calling him an idiot.

"Well I think she was wrong." Gageel whispered back though he didn't really feel so.

"You baka, you know she isn't. You just don't want to hurt your ego by agreeing to Laxus as the leader." Gray said and formed an ice ball and through it at the back of Gageel's head just like he had done before. Gageel gritted his teeth and stopped himself from launching himself into an attack on Gray. The captor would surely know he's being followed if he hadn't known before.

Gageel was about to say something before he felt another presence beside him. He looked to his left and noticed a flash of yellow.
