Ace is still a child so he makes me get up at 6am to wait for 3 hours when Abigail wakes up. I look at him and sign "can I take a nap you can wake me later" he shakes his head no and I groan who knew he would be so mean. "But Alice is asleep why didn't you wake her up too?" I sign "cause she scares me slightly" I hit his arm and I see him laugh. I still to this day wish I could hear his laugh. I smile and lean back into the couch with my coffee and wait. With Candy beside us our puppy is no longer a puppy. Ace pats my knee when he hears Abigail running downstairs. We both sit up and I get her Christmas hat ready. She runs straight to the tree. Doesn't even look at us. I send Ace up to wake up Alice finally so she can open gifts. I sit next to Abigail and sign "Merry Christmas beautiful" she smiles a toothy grin and signs back "Merry Christmas dada" we share a hug until Ace and Alice are here. We hand out gifts, I watch everyone's faces happy knowing everyone around me is also happy.
At this moment in time I don't mind everything we have been through as a family. I have shown everyone wrong. I can have a family, someone will love me, I can have a child, and a dog, I can get married to a guy, two gay people can raise a child right. Just cause I can't hear doesn't mean I can't know happiness and love of my family.
Sorry I wanted to do something for this story. Thank you to everyone who has read this story. Happy holidays to everyone. Also I just realized I have a thing for A names in this story..... my bad.
