Amanda's POV:

We could hear the music from two streets down. I wonder why the neighbors didn't call the cops. I looked at Lana who was practically jumping with glee. She had never been to a college party before. That's only because I wouldn't let her.

We walked up the steps. Before I could knock, the door swung open wide, revealing a surprisingly sober Brandon with two cups in his hands.

"Amanda," Brandon looked at Lana, raising an eyebrow. "Lana? Glad you guys could make it." Brandon had shoved a red cup in our hands and pulled us inside, shutting the door behind him. Lana's hazel eyes lit up and squealed as she looked around.

"Imma go do what normal people do!" She danced away, walking into the crowd. I rolled my eyes and looked at Brandon, who was staring at me.

"Lana?" He asked in disbelief. "You brought goody-two-shoes to my brother's party?" Brandon ran his fingers through his sandy brown hair, tugging it slightly.

"Relax," I say, taking a sip from the cup. "I'll watch her." Brandon's dark green eyes hardened as he stared at me. He shook his head.

"I don't think it's a good idea." Brandon sighed.

I opened my mouth but closed it when I heard a loud yell- Lana's voice come from the living room. I pushed through the crowd to see a drunken Lana dancing on a table with two cups. I sighed and looked back at Brandon, but I was met with a grey eye hottie. He had full lips, strong jawline- I shook my head and turned away from the hottie.

I sighed in annoyance when I didn't see Brandon anymore. I walked to Lana and stood on the table. Her body was swaying back and forth as she looked me in the eye.

"Hey," she whispers. "This party is so much fun." She takes another drink from her cup.

I gave her a look. "How do you get completely wasted in two minutes, Lana?" I grabbed her arm and pulled her off the table. "Can you stand?" I let her go and watched as she began to fall. "Guess not," I muttered and grabbed her arm again.

"Need some help," a voice called from behind. I jumped slightly and turned to see it was Brandon. I sighed and nodded.

"I'm sorry," I glanced at Lana. "I just can't believe she got wasted this quick."

Brandon smirked. "It's fine," he threw Lana over his shoulder. "And besides it's a party. You're supposed to get wasted." He walked to the couch and laid her down. Lana giggled and sipped from her cup. I snatched it out her hands and chugged it down. My eyes watered slightly as it burned my throat.

Lana pouted. "That was mine."

"Not anymore," I wiped at the corners of my mouth. I turned to Brandon. "Remind me again why I brought her here."

"Because this is the party of the year!" he shouted over the music. "Plus, her boyfriend dumped her." He whispered the last part in my ear. I pushed him slightly on his chest, but he grabbed my hand.

"Wanna dance?" His eyebrows waggled. I rolled my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck while his hands slid slowly down my waist. We swayed a little even though the music was an upbeat song.

I looked around and my eyes landed on the grey eye hottie again. I stopped moving as we made eye contact. He seemed very upset and I think it had something to do with Brandon.

"What's wrong?" Brandon's breath was against my ear, making me jump slightly and break eye contact with the grey eye hottie.

"Nothing," I turned towards him. Our faces were really close, especially our lips. Brandon leaned down slightly and caressed my cheek as I closed my eyes. "Brandon," I breathed out.
