The Train

As my best friend Anna and I got on the train, we both could sense the nervousness and excitement from the other. We couldn't tell what house we would be in yet, but we could both sense it wasn't gonna be Ravenclaw. There was no chance in hell we would be able to get into Ravenclaw. I was hoping for Hufflepuff, and Anna was hoping for Slytherin, (just to break the reputation and all) but we just wanted to be in the same house.

After looking around for an empty compartment and not finding one, we found one with two blond boys and a red haired girl. One of the boys was sitting with the girl and they were watching some video together, and the other boy was on his phone playing some 3D game. Anna, being the braver of us two, poked her head in and asked if we could sit with them. The boy playing the game quickly snapped out of what he was doing. "Of course, you can sit with us. Who would have nice people like you not sit with them? My name's Lorcan by the way. Lorcan Scamander," he said as we sat down "and that's my twin brother Lysander over there." He said, pointing at his brother who had no idea what was going on.

Anna's jaw dropped. "Are you related to Newt Scamander, the author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?"

Lorcan blushed. "Yeah, he's my Great-Grandfather"

Anna apologized for making him blush, and went to go sit next to him. Suddenly the other boy, Lysander, paused whatever video he was watching with the girl and looked up at his twin. I noticed that they were extremely similar. They had the same haircut, the same eyes, even the same freckles. They looked completely identical. The other girl realized what was going on, and introduced herself to Anna and I. "Hi, I'm Lily Luna Potter, nice to meet you."

Now it was my turn to be star-struck. "You're Harry Potter's daughter, aren't you?"

"Yep, the one and only." she said, and unlike Lorcan, quite proudly.

Then the train started moving. It became quite loud. Parents were shouting hasty goodbyes to their children. Shouting "have fun"s and "good luck"s. My already nervous stomach started to feel even more fluttery, as I thought of the fact that no one in my family would miss me. I hate being the youngest. My sister, Willow, was a 3rd year, and I had to meet the same insane standard.

~1 Hour Later~

After some casual conversation, Anna decided to ask when everyone's birthdays were. She said her birthday, January 18th. Then the twins said their birthday. "April 16th!" I gasped.

"That's my birthday too!!" I said, excitedly.

"No. Way." Lysander said.

"Yes way." I said.

The words hung in the air for a moment, and then breaking the atmosphere was, of course, Lily. "My birthday's June 10th."

"Cool."

"So, what classes are you most looking forward to?"
