"Wow, Chaeyoung-ie. Good thing I can't see you now," I shuddered at Tzuyu's scary calm growl, "I swear to God, I will kill you with my own bare hands."
"It's just two extra sets of plates," I argued meekly, "I'm sure you have those in your big house right?"
Tzuyu and Mingyu lived in an affluent condominium at Apgujeong, which was actually quite near to where Mina and Jeongyeon lived. You would think the distance would hinder our friendship, but on the contrary, I sometimes sleepover their house, cockblocking the golden couple. Most of my clients based on Gangnam District, which required me to travel there for work. By the time I was done, I became too tired to drive all the way back home, so Tzuyu offered me their guest room.
And this was how I repay her kindness. Inviting strangers to her house without her permission. Ha ha ha.
"This isn't just any two extra people. This is your ex-girlfriend and her current girlfriend we're talking about! I don't even know...what's her name again?"
I sighed, "It's Jeongyeon."
"Exactly!" she exclaimed, "What were you thinking, inviting them to MY wedding anniversary party?"
I shrugged then I realized she couldn't see me over the phone.
"I don't know. It just happened. Maybe because I want to see Mina."
"You're unbelievable," I could literally imagine her rolling her eyes.
"Is that a yes?" I asked, slow and cautious.
"Do I have a choice?" she fired back, "You already put out the invitation."
Still clutching my phone, I fist bumped the air.
"Thank you Chewy-ah!" I blew her a loud kiss.
"Ugh, save your kiss for someone else who wants it. Oh wait, you have nobody!" She burst out laughing.
Furious, I cut off the line.
After a long week of work, I finally had a day off today. Momo's project especially kept me busy because I had to select and edit photos, then attend meetings with Momo's publicity team to discuss strategies and future plans. I was appointed to be the photographer at the grand opening, so I had to be prepared for that too.
I sat down on my desk, thinking whether I should nap or do grocery shopping, when a small piece of paper caught my eye. It was Sana's phone number. Funny how I didn't throw it away right after I got home. In fact, I searched through the Internet and found out she was pretty popular in Japan. Minatozaki Sana, a soloist who made her debut in 2015 and released a hit song that contributed her breakthrough in 2016. I read about her highly anticipated upcoming debut in Korea this year. I even watched some of her fancam videos and boy, I was enthralled by her charm.
Sigh, I'm such a sucker for Japanese dancers.
Just then, my phone chimed.
