The Brainiac

-DanielI've always been super driven. When I was too, my mom says I refused to take naps. "Then I'll miss out on everything!" I cried. I had FOMO before FOMO was even a thing!
From the get-go, I had this crazy curiosity about te world and I was lucky that my mom allowed and encouraged me to be really independent. She definitely wasn't one of those helicopter parents, hovering over my brother and sister and me every second of the day. She let us learn on our own and I was like a sponge, soaking up everything. She gave me my first book in kindergarten, and it was about space. I taught myself to read it in one day. Later, I asked her, "Did you know astronauts experience weightlessness?" She freaked our that I even know how to pronounce such a big word. She let us explore outside, too. From a very young age, I was allowed to ride my bike around the neighborhood alone. I climbed on roofs, rode dirt bikes, and crawled in the sewers. Not in poo, like when the sewer was dry! (Though occasionally there were some weird substances...)
