NAM SOOHYUN awakes when the mouthwatering scent of bacon and eggs makes her nose twitch. She opens her eyes slowly, blinks a couple of times, before sitting up. The blanket slips from her body, and Soohyun feels a cold rush of air as her bare chest is suddenly exposed. Her body erupts into goosebumps, and she quickly pulls the blanket back over her chest. She cards a hand through her tragic bedhead before swinging her legs over the side of the bed, preparing to get up.
Wincing as she stands up, Soohyun lets the blanket go completely and quickly scuttles to the bathroom. She sighs when she sees her naked body in the mirror. Purplish hickeys dot her chest and neck like constellations in the sky. There were more in other places, but Soohyun was mainly concerned with the areas that were visible. Huffing in annoyance, she quickly brushes her teeth and tosses on a t-shirt she is sure belongs to Jaehyun.
When she steps outside the room, the smell of breakfast is almost enough to make her forget her anger. Jung Jaehyun has his back turned to her as he fries an egg. Soohyun takes a brief moment to check out his ass before walking over and giving it a hard smack.
"Ow! What the hell?" He turns, giving her a bewildered look.
"You ass. I told you not to mark anywhere people could see," Soohyun hisses through her teeth, tugging the collar of her shirt aside. Jaehyun smiles smugly, admiring his handiwork. She punches him.
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry," he says, not sounding sorry at all. "Sit down, I'm making eggs and bacon."
Soohyun gives him a final glare before trudging over to the table. Despite the hazard, Jaehyun ignores the frying pan in is hand and watches her walk. He furrows his eyebrows and gives her a concerned look when she sits down.
"Why are you walking like that? Are you feeling sick?"
Blushing profusely, Soohyun clears her throat loudly and avoids eye contact. Immediately believing something is wrong, he quickly turns off the stove and takes a seat next to her. Jaehyun searches her face with worry until realization dawns on his face.
"Oh."
"Shut up," she mumbles.
"You're―You're sore," he says, almost proudly. "From last night."
"Yes." She grits her teeth. "I am aware."
Jaehyun throws his head back and laughs, nearly falling off his chair. Soohyun covers her face with her hands and kicks him in the side.
"It's not funny, idiot!"
He scrunches his face together in an attempt to stop but only ends up making her laugh as well. When they finally stop, both are breathless and clutching their stomachs from laughing so hard. Jaehyun reaches over and tucks a stray lock of hair behind her ear.
"You're cute, Nam Soohyun," he says, leaning over and giving her a gentle kiss. He pulls away and grins when she subconsciously chases after him for another. "I―"
Jaehyun stops abruptly, standing up and turning away. Soohyun blinks, snapping out of her daze. "Sorry, what did you say?"
"It was nothing," he replies, turning on the stove again.
"Don't think I'll let you get away with this next time. I'm going to have to use an entire bottle of foundation to cover all this," she complains as he continues to cook.
