A store clerk overhears the tension before it begins and warns the girls that he has the power to kick them out.
"I'm not done with you." Alex says before Harper pushes her to another side of the store.
The unnamed girl leaves the store without hesitating. Alex and Harper proceed to shop, but already stressed-- they aren't too focused on the sales. They each find one top each that they like along with a jacket and scarf before leaving. Alex realizes she can't pull her wand out in the streets without anyone around her noticing to zap home so they decide to go to the alley way just next to the set of buildings. Just as Alex pulls out her wand, she feels a tap on her shoulder.
"Harper, don't touch me." Alex says.
Harper gets a blank look on her face as she turns to Alex and questions, "I'm not?"
"I am." A voice says. Alex turns to find the girl who continues by saying, "And you need to mind your own business."
"Why was Mason hugging you?" Alex asks.
"We're old friends, I just moved into the Tribeca area" The girl spits back, "why would it matter anyways?"
"So you aren't dating him?" Alex hesitates to ask.
"No?" She says, "Why would I? He told me he has a girlfriend."
"Sorry for that, she is just overprotective. Come on, Alex." Harper says pushing Alex back as Alex seems happy at the news.
Harper pushes Alex further on into the alley way out of sight of the girl. Alex then zaps the two back to their home.
Meanwhile in front of the Sub Station, Max is standing outside of the door, which is wide open. He calls into the sub station, "Jerry, Theresa, get out here."
Jerry and Theresa then slowly make there ways outside wearing sandwich costumes where many bystanders laugh at them. Theresa then turns to Max and says, "Listen hijo, first off-- we are your parents and you will call us by mom and dad. And secondly, these costumes are embarressing and itchy. Can't you hire someone to wear them?"
Max then scratches his chin as if he's thinking, Jerry then steps in by saying, "Yes, Max. Do the right thing."
Max then speaks up, "No, when it's work time-- then you are my employees. Not my parents. Now stand out here with a smile and say what I told you to say." Max then walks in doors and returns to the shop.
Jerry and Theresa stay outside and recite the same few verses, "Sandwiches are good, so are pickles. Located in the hood, of Waverly Sub Station where you can get a free drink with every dinner combo meal."
Another bystander walks up to the two and says, "That didn't even rhyme," before walking away.
Theresa then calls out, "We didn't make it up!"
Back inside, Alex and Harper are in the living room.
"Maybe you should call him, Alex. Before she has a chance too." Harper insists.
Alex looks at her before sighing, "I guess you're right."
Just as she picked up her wand phone, she gets a knock on the door. Harper decides to be the one to open the door, and once she does she busts out laughing histerically. The man at the door is Mason. Harper then starts going downstairs and continues laughing all the way to the basement.
Now alone in the living room, Mason tells Alex, "A friend of mine, I don't know if you know her or not-- name is Bridgett. Maybe you've ran into her on the streets or something-- but she told me that a girl and her best friend thought that I was cheating on my girlfriend."
Alex then gets this faked clueless look on her face, "Oh, well good thing I know you're not. I trust you 100%. You know me."
"Yeah that's what I thought. And then, now here's the weird part of it, she recalls her friend referring to her as Alex. We're right?" Mason says.
"What a coincidence. Look at the time, well you really should be going now." Alex then says pushing Mason out of the doorway.
Mason turns back to her and kisses her before saying, "You have nothing to worry about. She's just a really old friend."
Their hands are now clenched together, Alex looks up to Mason's eyes, "I know that, and i'm sorry."
They embrace for a hug before Mason leaves. Alex smiles as this scene ends.
Down at the sub station now, Jerry and Theresa walk inside from their jobs outside advertising. They look around and then see Max behind the counter.
Theresa wipes sweat off of her face before saying, "That's it Max. We're hot, we're sweaty, we're humiliated, and i'm pretty sure a bird... dropped stuff on me."
Max begins wiping a table, and without the slightest smirk says, "That's fine. You don't have to do it anymore."
Jerry and Theresa then in unison look at each other before saying, "Really?"
Max then looks at them and says, "Yes really. You're fired."
Jerry then shouts, "What? You can't run a shop without us. Who would make the sandwiches?"
"I would." Max says.
"Well," Theresa starts, "who would take orders and give the customers their sandwiches?"
"Easy," Max says, "I already hired somebody."
At that moment, in came Bridgett who ends the scene with the words, "Where do I start?"
