he stared at the message, the two lines blurring together.
as far as anyone was concerned, jungwoo was just a quiet, thoughtful guy.
there wasn't anything special about him.
until last december.
it had always been there, a nagging feeling, but it only revealed itself that day.
his hands shook recalling the incident.

he couldn't allow himself to dwell on the past.
his eyes stung and he bit his lip.
how pathetic he was.
crying over a text.
he wouldn't ever receive love in this world.
he had tried to be himself, but no one seemed to like the real jungwoo.
his parents disowned him.
his friends pushed him away.
all that, because he couldn't keep his own sexuality private.
yet in this promised world the app described, he would no longer have to hide.
and that was what he had wished for, wasn't it?
or at least, what drove him to accept the offer.
