America- Afternoon nap

It was a lazy sunday afternoon.

You and Alfred were playing non-stop the newest FPS for his gaming console since morning, trying to finish the main story before you had to go back to your house that evening. Both his brothers, Matthew and Arthur, refused to help him and you, being his best friend, offered to play with him.

It was difficult at first, you never were into shooter games, but Alfred made everything look so funny and easy you just couldn't stop playing until noon, when you had lunch on his back porch.

After that, neither of you got out of the room for a few hours. It was almost 4 'o clock now.

"Allright! We managed to complete all the chapters so far!"

You said, pumping your fist in the air, making Alfred chuckle. You high fived eachother, smiling

"Of course, you're teaming up with the best shooter in the whole country after all"

You rolled your eyes, pausing the game and getting up, tying your hair in a low ponytail and stretching your aching back

"Yeah sure, I need to go to the bathroom anyway"

"AWWW Come on! We're so close to finish the game! Come here, you'll go to the bathroom later"

You just waved him goodbye before closing his room 's door behind you, heading to the end of the corridor.

Passing by his older brother's room door, you heard an electric guitar riff. Smiling to yourself, you knocked on his door.

A faint "come in" was heard and you entered the room.

Arthur, Alfred's older brother and lead guitarist of a local punk rock band, was sitting on his bed. When he saw you, he smiled and got up, ruffling your hair

"(Y/n)! It's so nice to see you, it's been a while"

"Likewise! How are you doing? I heard your last live was a big success"

He blushed a little, flashing you the biggest smile you ever saw on his face

"Yeah... It was also a big success for myself .... You know, I managed to confess my feelings to that girl I liked"

You were speechless, it was years he swooned over this girl but he was just too shy to tell her how he felt

"That's awesome!!! So I guess you're a couple now"

"Yeah... And how about -your- crush? "

He winked at you, while you were rapidly turning red. Arthur knew you, Matthew and Alfred since you were born, and being older than both of you he instantly recognized your crush over his little brother. You just shrugged, feeling a little sad

"He's my best friend, I can't just tell him something like this... I mean, what if he doesn't feel the same and...and... I don't want to ruin everything"

You murmured, getting a little sad. Arthur chuckled and hugged you tight, ruffling your hair and managing to make you smile again

"You'll never know if you never try. Trust me, I know how you feel"

You laughed and hugged him back, he really was like a brother to you

"Thanks Arthur, I appreciate your support...I guess I'll try to be a little more brave from now on"

"That's my girl, now go back to your friend...I'm sure he's missing you already"

He playfully patted your head, and you winked at him, going back to your previous task of reaching the bathroom.
