If hearts don't really skip a beat
why does that feeling continue to repeat.
Are we "all grown up" as they say?
No, it's just a game we tend to play.
We act like we know everything,
But we're lucky if we know anything.
Love is not something to be toyed with.
Then what does a child do with it.
We shouldn't have this much pain.
Not until were ready to go down that lane.
But everyone always think they're ready.
Kids never want to take things steady.
With us it always starts off with a simple crush.
Next thing you know things all start to rush.
This is why the world doesn't make sense,
Even when things gets intense.
The way I see it I don't have a chance,
But it's hard just to sit back and glance.
I said "can't we just talk".
Nope, Look back and watch him walk.
No one has the time today
So why continue to play.
Just drop it and leave it there,
Cause nothing is ever gonna be fair.
