Dear Daniel,
Do you ever feel like you are in a
dream somedays? Today no one at
school acknowledged my presence,
and I was able to get through my day
with no run-ins. My mom also didn't
come home today, which feels like both
a blessing and a curse. A blessing
because it gives my old bruises another
day to heal, but a curse because
my dad is in the other room feeling
more depressed. I just don't understand
how he is so blind in love that he can't
see how much of a monster she is. When
she comes home smelling of alcohol
and weed with gross hickeys along
her neck he always makes some stupid
excuse. He tries to fool himself into
believing lies. They say love is amazing
but if cheating and pain is love than I
think I will pass.
